There was nothing to assemble, I think. I gave it as a gift and wasn’t there when it was opened. My adult daughter had memories of a similar ride on toy we had for her little brother and she specifically mentioned the ride on toy should have a little storage compartment to place the “treasures in”, which is how it became a favorite item for toddler and older sibling. I wanted something inexpensive and not easily tipping as the toddler has very recently learned to walk. He spends more time pushing it right now. This is an item that is excellent and useful, but is limited time only type of toy, so I didn’t want a super expensive durable one. If we have later children and it is lost or broken I’d rather just get another. Apparently the storage compartment made the difference between length of usefulness for our family. Ordered this product for our grandchildren, a boy age 2 who loves fire trucks, and a girl almost 4 that loves paw patrol. Win win. They both love it. Grandson loves the sounds that it makes and continually pushes the buttons, so don’t buy this if you don’t want to hear the tune to paw patrol 1 million times! Ha! Our granddaughter loves that you can open up the seat and put little goodies and toys inside to ride around with. We keep it inside for use on our wood floors and it does not scratch. My 18 month old nephew loved it! I bought it for him while he was visiting for a week. It has great sound effects and if he wasn’t riding it he was pushing it with the handle that’s on the back or putting stuff in and taking stuff out of the compartment under the seat! Highly recommend!
