  • Excellent for Upgrading Prebuilt Gaming Computers
Size: 8GB 3000Mhz
Needed to upgrade my iBUYPOWER PC to 16 GB of RAM in dual-channel. It came with an 8 GB XPG CL16 RAM stick, and I chose this one given it has identical RAM speed and timings. It works great alongside the XPG RAM and both can be overclocked to 3200 MHz with the XMP profile loaded on my ASUS Prime B450-M motherboard. Dual-channel memory is more important nowadays, even on systems equipped with discrete graphics cards. On average, I've seen a 5-15% increase in gaming performance. I would definitely buy more of these when I plan to upgrade my PC to 32 GB of RAM. ... show more

  • Won't run stable at advertised speeds
Size: 16GB 3200MHz Single Module
I recently put together my 1st real Ryzen build and the word with Ryzen seems to be get the fastest RAM you can afford as it has quite a bit of an effect on your gaming performance. I wanted 32GB at an affordable price so I went with this memory as the advertised speed of 3200mhz was the min I wanted to go with. This memory cannot hold that speed I had to downclock it to 2900mhz in the BIOS in order to run games like Rust and Subnautica without crashing every hour or so. I spent hours troubleshooting this issue before downclocking the memory and I haven't had a single crash since. My FPS dropped about 5-8 frames on average in both Subnautica and Rust however. Get what you pay for I guess. I'll be using this memory in another build soon enough and replacing it with higher quality sticks. ... show more

  • Good choice
Size: 16GB 3200MHz Single Module
After extensive research, I selected a Patriot Viper Steel 16G RAM stick for my MSI motherboard. The only problem that I encountered was the “stiffness” that makes it hard to push all the way down into the slot. When I first installed it, the led on the MO signaled a “compatibility” problem, which at first made me think I had chosen the wrong RAM. It took a considerable amount of force to get it fully inserted and It is working fine now. Patriot’s technical department’ technicians are courteous and knowledgeable. Thank you! ... show more

  • This memory failed repeatedly.
Size: 32GB 3600Mhz
Built a new 8 core machine and wanted blazing speed so I got this 32Gb 3600hz single memory stick. The machine was the fasted machine I have ever used. However, every two or three days it would reboot and give me various error messages. After months of chasing this issue, I finally called a systems engineer I work with. He was also stumped but said the first thing he would try was an 8Gb 3000Hz stick to see what happened. The 8Gb stick is a Patriot product also. The new machine has been up now without a reboot for days. The machine is not as fast but it is stable. I am going to add a second 8Gb stick to see if I can get the speed back. ... show more

  • Works, but hard to install
Size: 16GB 3600MHz Single Module
Compared to normal sticks of RAM, this thing is hard to install. It's bigger and clunkier than most RAM sticks I've ever seen. So if you're tight on space, good luck putting it in your slots. It also requires quite a bit more force than normal sticks of RAM to really hear the stick lock into place. Also, if you're inter-mingling other RAM sticks with this make sure to check your DRAM voltage in your BIOS settings as well as the timing as per normal installations of that kind. Your computer may not boot up if you don't set it up correctly in your BIOS. Since this stick takes 1.35V from what I've seen. ... show more

  • XMP profile is unstable. Expect base speeds
Size: 8GB 3200Mhz
As many other reviews have mentioned, the "tested" XMP profile for this RAM is really unstable. For the kit that I received, I am unable to get my new gaming rig to overclock this without any BSOD. Feels like I got cheated. I can play all games (Rocket League, Warzone, Apex, etc) on base speeds just fine. Once I use it on XMP profile or even under the tested timings in 2800Mhz or 3000Mhz at various timing speed combinations, all of the games crash and computer BSODs. I've also used the Ryzen DRAM calculator but that also eventually fails. Memtest checks out okay and doesn't report any issues so I am unable to RMA it unfortunately. Something else must be going on. • Great value. Stable and reliable.
Size: 8GB 3200Mhz
I’ve never had a problem with Patriot pronducts. I used to get them at Frys back in the day when they were the only retailer I had ever seen them at. I got 2 sticks of this ram for my Hackintosh. After setting the ram clock in my board’s bios (which by default clocks it down) I was off to the races.

  • Definitely should do it for your machine too
Size: 8GB 3000Mhz
Obviously installing a. Ram chip is not the hardest thing to do, with that being said, unfortunately, I have a compact desktop. The card was slightly large to fit under all the wires and cages inside it. Once I got almost everything out of the desktop, easy enough to put back right? Doubt it actually... Took some doing in order to get everything back in place and I was running my new ram chip. Nice and fast could feel the difference right away... ... show more
