Most people don’t include a decent review. What I can tell you it looks just like the factory Mukini carb it replaced. It was installed and no adjustments were needed. The bike fired right up. It also ran with no hesitation through a variety of throttle positions. I will state that the this carb only has about 1 hour of run time on it, so time will tell how it holds up. I was able to use the original choke assembly. This was installed on a 2004 TT-R 225.

This is the second Chinese knockoff carburetor I have bought for my TTR-225. This one worked great! Right out of the box it started up and with 5 min of fussing with the idle screw and idle mixture it was going. This is the one you want for your Yamaha TTR-225

After damaging the carb on my 2004 TT-R225, I was desperate to find a replacement without paying the outlandish price of the OEM part ($385!). I figured that I had nothing to lose by purchasing this much less expensive version. The part number matched, the reviews were good, it looked the same as my old one, so what the heck. When the package arrived, it was expertly packaged and I inspected the quality. Everything looked great - machined well, clean, no cheap parts, etc. Tonight I just finished installing it. I swapped out the bigger jets and needle from my old carb due to some airbox and exhaust mods I had made. When everything was put back together, I turned the key, hit the switch and BAM it fired right up! A slight adjustment to the idle was all I needed to do. If anyone is hesitating on purchasing this carb, put your fears aside and hit the Buy Now button.
