When you have two males and you need to get them together, this product does the trick perfectly. It allows true stereo throughput. Both sides are gold plated standard 3.5" female connections. I have in wall speakers that had a 3.5" male coming out of the wall. This is great for connecting a phone, MP3 or computer. But when I wanted to connect a DVD player's RCA sound output, the need arose for RCA to 3.5" female. Those are hard to find. Male 3.5" to dual RCA connecters are common. This product does the gender change for me.

These seem fairly nice and perhaps gold-plated contacts, have a nice grip on the sides to hold when setting these in use. I found one had a sharp plastic burr on a corner probably just a minor defect. I found during the first use they work but if spun it caused crackling, etc in the audio, but went way shortly after not sure if this is like from residue inside or something related to the contact points needing to break in for some reason.

Great Value! I am now able to to extend my headphones a much longer distance with these couplers/jack adapters. They work very well and i haven't noticed any degradation in sound quality.

I ordered these PANPEO 3.5 mm adapters to join a few 3.5 mm audio cables I have all over the house. Because while Bluetooth is fantastic, I still like to use wired connections in some instances. I'm using an old phone as a music player, and I connected it to my stereo to take advantage of the speakers. The stereo has only one 3.5 mm port, so using an audio cable, and one of these adapters, I made an extension which I can use to connect, and disconnect a few devices easily. Because these adapters can be used to connect any device with a 3.5mm audio connector port, I made the same extension with a couple of sounds bars around the house. I also like that the output sound is loud and clear, and using the stereo as a receiver, it let me control the volume with the stereo’s remote control.

The sound quality didn't seem to drop when routed through these and the connections seemed stable. The knurling was convenient was installation and de-installation.
