These aren’t stellar quality. I have bought a couple and there are issues like obvious molding overflow, slight bending off from center in the mounding, etc. But they have fit and worked reliably so far.

OMFG! I didn't read the reviews and wish I had. This connector could have done some serious fire damage and/or damage to my equipment. I used the female to female as a connector for two 6ft 12v DC lines to power an astronomy camera. Shortly after turning on my power source (12v 3amp) I saw smoke curling up in front of my headlamp. I looked down and the adapter is burning up right in front of my eyes. Thank god I had the foresight to put an inline fuse leading into my camera or else this would have destroyed my gear. Miraculously, my power source wasn't destroyed either other than the fact that this thing is melted around the barrel jack. I can't imagine if I had used this in my home. Amazon should recall these before someone does have an accident. This is nuts. Why doesn't Amazon list the voltage and ampere rating for this? What kind of DC barrel jack can't handle 12v 3amps? Anyone? ... show more

This is an easy solution for connecting camera cables that may have been installed backwards. I recently installed cabling for 5 cameras - cables are marked with DVR end and Camera end. I inadvertently installed one of them in the wrong direction. The BNC connectors are the same on both ends, but the power connectors are male and female.
