  • Works Great - with a Little Common Sense!
Style: Machine
When my electric dryer broke down recently, I was on the fence whether to have it repaired or buy a new one. So I started searching for a drying rack to do the job until I made up my mind. Somewhere along the way, I came across the listing for the Panda Ventless Dryer. I read the reviews, and they were generally favorable--in that the unit does what it's supposed to do, given reasonable expectations. Meaning, if you are wanting the power of a full sized dryer, then buy a full-sized dryer! But if you are open-minded and want a simple and effective method to dry your laundry, this could do for you. To aid you, allow me to give you a few pearls from my experience: 1. Do not overload. If you are cramming the poor thing until it can barely zip closed this will not dry satisfactorily. The garments need a bit of air circulation. I use a standing garment rack to hang dry some of my wash, and use the Panda for heavier items like pants and bath towels. You could dry all your garments in the Panda, but for me it's a more efficient use of time. Put your clothes on hangers and hang them in the dryer so they don't crowd each other. Then zip it closed and set the timer. 2. Ignore the reviews by the peeps who claim they dried their clothes in 20 minutes. Especially if, like myself, you live in the northeast US. I have been using this unit in the hottest summer on record, with 70-100% humidity. If you expect results at this small amount of time, you will think something is wrong with your dryer. There isn't! Go ahead and set the timer for the full 180 minutes. What I do is let it run a few hours, then check for garments that are dry or almost dry. Remove them, and you are free to add new pieces. When the timer runs down, simply start the 180 minute cycle over again. It takes a little practice to streamline your personal system, but once you have it down you may like it better than a conventional dryer. 3. Buy yourself some helpful accessories. I bought a bag of clothes clips and they make hanging clothes on hangers so much easier. With the clips I can hang 4 or 5 pairs of undies or socks on a single hanger. Or attach jeans and pants so they can hang full length in the dryer. I find they are great for all ny logistical laundry hanging problems. And they were cheap! As I mentioned, I bought an inexpensive clothing rack to hang some of my laundry to air dry. It's also handy to put items that are a bit damp to finish drying, while freeing up space in the Panda. Another thing I will comment on is laundry softness. Like any hang drying method, your clothes will come out less wrinkled. But if you want your clothes Snuggle-soft, you may be disappointed. To help with this, buy some nice fabric softener. The clothes will come out softer than without, and they will smell lovely. Well, that's all I've got, folks! My review is that the Panda is a great little dryer if you are willing to work with it's limitations and not against. There's nothing complicated to using it properly. Just basic common sense. After getting to know it, I find that i really enjoy using it. So much in fact that I have put my decision about my broken full-sized dryer on "HOLD". Indefinitely! ... show more

  • Works well ! Until it didn’t!
Style: Machine
I really like this clothes dryer. As other customers have stated it does NOT rotate as the pictures may indicate. It drys a load of clothes( towels shirts jeans etc) in about 2 hours but does Not consume a lot of electricity. I’m definitely getting my money’s worth. 👍🏿 Update 12-27-18 As much as this little dryer has performed to great satisfaction..., it longer gets hot which means the heating element has gone out. 54 weeks of service not bad for a $65 item although I was hoping to get a longer life span. ... show more

  • PERFECT!!!
Style: Machine
I love this thing! I'm disabled and live in an apartment, so getting out to do laundry is a problem. I was finally able to get an a portable, apartment washer, but having items dry on racks was taking too long and using too much space. I saw this item and decided to give it a try, since it is 'ventless'. What a Godsend! I remove items from the washer, shake them out, place them on hangers, then hang them inside of this dryer and set the timer. Although ventless, it doesn't heat up my place (I can't tolerate heat!). It's absolutely silent, safe and when it's done, I simply remove the items from the dryer and place them directly into the closet--on the same hangers! No folding, bagging, ironing, etc. This has made my life SO MUCH EASIER! Between this and the Haier washing machine (also highly recommended), I'm in laundry heaven. ... show more

  • Very slow and a clumsy design.
Style: Machine
This item is an interesting concept and although it does work it doesn't work well enough. Pro's 1. Compact design, this item will fit in the corner of the room but bear in mind its about 5 foot tall when working. 2. Nice and easy to setup, took me all of 5 mins to open box and setup 3. Quiet. The machine is very quiet and you could easily use this in an upstairs apartment without annoying those below you. Con's 1. It literally takes hours to dry a small load. I hung (on plastic hangers) 1 pair of Pj bottoms, 2 tops and some underwear and this machine took over 2 hours to dry it. Bear in mind that I use a Panda washer/spinner (that I absolutely love!) so the clothes were well spun before being dried. I hate to think how long a larger load would take to dry? So this does make me wonder how much the 900 watt electric motor is going to effect my power bill. 2. Lack of space. As I stated above I only hung about 6 items and the rack of clothes were all banging into each other. 3. Pj' trousers etc are to big for this item. You will end up with the bottom of the legs sitting on the bottom of the canopy. While this isn't to much of a problem you do need to be careful they are not touching the heating element at the bottom center of the canopy. I do worry about the potential fire risk? 4. My canopy was not stitched correctly and one side of the top part of the canopy is joined together awkwardly. This results in the canopy leaning to one side when inflated and I am presuming increasing drying time. EDIT: After contacting the seller directly First&Best Inc about the canopy problem they immediately dispatched a replacement canopy free of charge. I have since used this device with the correct canopy and can now confirm that it does indeed dry a small to medium load in approx 120 mins. I would like to take this opportunity to thank First&Best Inc for excellent customer service! ... show more

  • Perfect for hockey gear!
Style: Machine
I bought this to help dry my hockey equipment during the cold months. The stand is able to hold all my equipment minus helmet and skates and dries everything within 30-45 minutes. Must buy if your a hockey player.
