ATT has been charging my elderly mother close to $90/mo for VoIP "landline" service on top of her TV and Internet service. My mother also has a cell phone, but has been reluctant to cut the "landline" cord, because she didn't want to have to carry her phone around the house. I wish I had found this system sooner. It works amazingly well with her cellphone to mimic a landline phone in the house. I have her setup on a cheap Tello cell plan with unlimited voice mins for only $10/mo.; paired with this phone system I've reduced her monthly cost tremendously. The only thing to remember is that the cell phone needs to be in the same room as the phone set base station as that is where the Bluetooth signal is paired. Otherwise it works amazingly well, the only noticeable difference is there is no dial-tone when you pick up the handset. You type the number in and press talk and it connects seamlessly. For incoming calls, all handsets ring in the house and announces the number displayed on the caller-ID. Cut the cord and get this for your elderly loved ones! ... show more

Feature list from MFG said works during power outage, which was a key feature for me. I got it and found out that was not the case. Battery life between charges worse than 10 year old unit from MFG. Sound is clear but needs more gain.
