Description

The Palram - Canopia 6'-1" x 8-1" x 6'-10" Mythos greenhouse kit provides the perfect growing environment for plants. The Mythos wall and roof panels are made of a nearly unbreakable polymer called polycarbonate that has the light transmission benefits of glass, but is lighter, stronger, and safer. The double walls diffuse intense sunlight that can stress plants and provide twice the heat retention of single panels for a more stable growing environment. The Mythos frame is made of rust-resistant aluminum mounted on a heavy-duty galvanized steel base for structural support. Other features include an integrated rain gutter to disperse the rainwater, and a roof vent and lockable hinged door with a magnetic catch to keep the air flowing and help control temperature and humidity. The instruction manual seems a bit intimidating but if you lay out all the parts and follow each page noting the parts indicated and how they are put together then all goes well. I put this building on a wood frame which was tied to the ground. This project is a job for 4 hands as recommended and this is necessary. Getting the door to line up with the front of the greenhouse is awkward considering the multi piece front wall and the door being multi piece as well. Follow the instructions as to putting all the parts in place for each step is important as some are used in the following steps/pages. All in all the building is stable. I did add a tie down cables on both ends passed through the rain channel through the roof and linked it to ground screws and this has handled all wind up to 30mph and all storms so far including snow and rain. As I am planting vegetables, my husband bult the boxes as some need to be 24” deep to compensate for the root system. The boxes turned out great. We have a heater that turns off and on automatically so that solves the cold temps. The heat is still a challenge for us. We live in Colorado, and we can be 81 degrees like today which is 4-12-23 and 20 degrees which will happen this coming Friday. The second picture with snow was a week ago. We have a couple ideas we are going to try for the cold. We are very pleased with the building and hope I have finally reached a point where our vegetables will mature without being lost to a freeze. This backyard greenhouse arrived on time…condition of shipment was excellent…the instructions were not laid out very clearly…the longer (10’) base pieces should not come in two pieces (the two joined pieces makes base very flimsy)…the overall quality of the material certainly not worth the price of the product..it remains to be seen how this greenhouse holds up in windy conditions and of course how well it works…it definitely appears to be functional however I still feel it is over priced…bottom line, wife is happy so that’s all that matters right now… ... show more

Update - it's cornered in by fence so there's no super heavy gusting wind, but it took it down! We have it secure on a base which is REALLY anchored to the ground. I have tried to put it back together but the pieces are so bent it just won't align correctly. 800$ down the drain, So sad. It was pretty easy to assemble, but was missing a few pieces and 2 of the downspouts were cracked. The company replaced them. It did take a while {due to covid}. Support was super nice. It stays warmer than the harbor freight one I had. The vent and door work very well. The magnet for the door catch is a bit strong so you have to be careful. ... show more

We have built greenhouses before and are not novices. We purchased this greenhouse because on five separate websites they listed it as one of the best. We don't really have complaints about the greenhouse itself , it is fairly well designed , but there are two big issues that made it a nightmare. Many of the parts were not labeled at all or the labels had fallen off so we spent a lot of wasted time sorting through and trying to figure things out. But the absolute worst were the instructions. Visuals only and sometimes hard to tell which side you were looking at inside or outside to know how to put it together. Also the instructions we received were for more than one Greenhouse so a lot of the visuals didn't match what we had and they would list two different part numbers for the same job so we weren't sure which ones to look for. A tremendous amount of wasted time trying to figure out what they meant. Also had a number of broken, bent or missing pieces and although the company was quick to replace them it did cause delays and frustrations. I would NOT purchase this again ... show more

Arrived without any screws to assemble. Called & they were sent. Real pain to try to decipher the diagrams with no written instructions & A zillion parts. After 8 days, we finished & it looks nice & should be fine. Not for a novice! You must have a great deal of patience. Anxious to see how it holds up. ... show more

This product was installed as suggested by the instructions and blew apart when we had some moderate winds. This thing isn’t made with the quality that is advertised! Don’t buy it you will be sorry!
