The Palmgren 5 speed floor radial arm drill press features a heavy cast iron base, worktable, and head. The head moves 12 inches forward and backward using a rack and pinion system. The head also has the capability to swivel 360° around the column and tilts 45° both right and left. The worktable height is adjustable using a rack and pinion system. The table can be tilted 45° both right and left and rotates 360° on a vertical axis. The worktable surface is precision ground and features slots for secure, accurate mounting and clamping of workpieces. Other features include an enclosed ball bearing quill assembly, quick belt change and tension mechanism, positive quick-adjust feed depth stop and a ½ HP, 575-3,520 RPM motor. This Palmgren 5 speed floor radial arm drill press also includes a front mounted safety with a quick and easy paddle on/off switch. The unit comes with a keyed chuck and chuck arbor. Spindle speeds are adjustable for drilling in steel, cast iron, aluminum, wood and plastic.
