This tent is amazingly easy to set up. It took me a couple of seconds to throw it in the air and bam it’s up! It took me a few minutes to tie each string down on the ground with the sticks provided. At first, I had so much trouble figuring out how to fold it back and also wanted to return it. I finally found detailed instructions on YouTube. It was pretty easy. The trick is when doing the second fold, you need to hold the top of the circle and push it down horizontally while making the circle an 8 shape and fold. The tent is lightweight. It was windy and light rain at the campground. We put a big turf under the tent to block the moisture and rain. Not sure if it can sustain heavy rain. This tent has plenty of room for four of us, 2 adults and 2 kids. ... show more

I took this 6 person tent out for a one night casual camping trip. A few notes... 1. As others have said, 6 ppl is an exaggeration. Maybe 6 small kids. The pic they have has people cramped in and they'd need to crawl over each other to get in/out--maybe ok in an emergency situation. for 3 people it'd be comfortable. 2. It's so big and heavy than the popup part was actually a little bit of a challenge. It kind of got wound around and it was hard for one person to untwist it and have the bottom part face down. 3. The features inside are nice, including a vestibule (which was a highlight). Zippers were reasonable. I really liked the built in "gap" between the outer shell and the inner compartment so that condensation wouldn't soak through. 4. The actual solid fabric on the opening was only on the vestibule, which made it awkward from inside to try closing to get privacy. 5. On the inner compartment there's no fabric covering the mesh screens, meaning that at night it can get COLD. I expect tents to be cold but this was extra cold as it's like having big windows. The outer shell could be closed off but there were caps all along it at the bottom of the tent so you wouldn't get the "bubble" effect. 6. The instructions were hard to follow for folding up. The video here on amazon looks like it's for a smaller tent which can be folded somewhat differently, and also looks different than the included instructions! I had to look at comparable tents on youtube to figure out how. 7. Maybe a minor detail, but there wasn't any kind of hook or anything for a small lamp inside. Maybe it's due to avoiding a fire hazard, but that was a bit of an inconvenience. Although I have my qualms with it, it was solid enough that I'll probably use it on future casual trips so a "decent" 3 stars -- but I'll also keep my eye out for a pop-out that fixes the above. The first night we used this we didn't get to our camp site until dark, and it was raining. We set up on a flash, and it held out the rain all night! I love the vestibule in the entrance. It's really great for muddy shoes. It does take some practice and patience to learn to take down, but it's worth it for set up! Seriously awesome tent! ... show more

The tent is great, roomy, well made and convenient. The only challenge was getting it folded back up. The instructions were not quite as clear as they should be and it took some time to work out how to fold it back into its bag. After a number of attempts following the instructions we finally worked it out. Still great value. Pros - Roomier - Extremely easy to setup. Throw and see it popping - ventilation is excellent Cons - Tricky to fold up - the bottom is not thick so beware to rocks underneath and use a tarp - Big packages size Overall good for car camping. I bought this tent expecting a simple tiny tent. But this tent was huge. And can fit so many things and people in it. It comes with 2 zipper sets on each door. One for the door and one for the screens so flies don't get it. And same for the windows. There's also 2 poles that hold the entrance open. So you don't need to lift the fabric above your head. Every single time you go in or out. I love how it came with so many pegs. To properly secure it in the ground. And to top all that off. It fold I to a tiny disk. That can lay flat in or on your car. Arrived at our destination in the dark, tent was up in 60 seconds. Easy to dismantle as well and it was raining! We did throw a large tarp over it for added protection.
