This experience happened after the "return window" closed so I'm unable to return the item. Generally speaking "life" hindered me from picking up the 1" pipe to use as a handle and using the pallet breaker for the first time. Still, the first pallet I used it on was a simple 4' x 4' with twisted nails. The second cross member I attempted to remove had two nails in it like the others but took more pressure to remove. While applying the needed pressure to pull the rail loose the flat stock of the breaker (the parts that are under the rail) started to bend at the welds. I removed the breaker, straightened the flat stock back out to where they were before then approached the rail from the other side. The rail came loose that time. The rest of the pallet came apart without an more issues. Afterwards I inspected the welds to find a hairline creack in one. At this point I'll have to pay a welder to make the breaker more "break proof". ... show more

Some wood split anyway. When it works it's very effective. It Takes a very strong pipe to work. I bent a 5 ft piece of galvanized post.

This thing will pop pallets apart really quickly. I did have one stubborn board that actually bent this tool. Now it feels weaker but overall a good purchase

    • Forks begin to bend with use

After about 18-20 pallets, the two forks begin to bend and you can hammer them back to a 90 degree angle but how many times can you do that before they get too weak to pry pallet boards? The forks need to be beefed up for long-term and/or heavy use.

It is an awesome quality made pallet buster tool. The parcel came fast and with a pair of gloves as described. I bought a metal pole at a shop nearby and bust pallets with little effort. Actually, this item not only makes the breaking apart of pallets a breeze, but it also quickly helps remove boards from a deck. Not as easy to use as described. It is very difficult to get pallet boards off without breaking. I've tried on many different types of pallets and wasn't successful. That doesn't mean it wasn't made good. Very heavy duty.

The dimensions seem right and the metal appears decently thick, but too soft. I unfortunately waited months to find a handle and use it for the first time. On the very first pallet one of the tines bent. The other side has held up okay but with them not lining up it doesn't really work.

Two and a half pallets in, this thing folded like a cheap lawnchair. Don't buy it unless you like making the mailman carry heavy boxes. I was able to straighten and reinforce it, and have used it to bust up several pallets since. It made for a good project to practice welding. I don't know how it got so many five star reviews, they must be buying them. The money would have been better spent doing what I did, but with an actual welder. Yes, I am aware the welds look like a kindergarten art project done in jumbo crayon, it's the third thing I've ever welded. ... show more
