We have used this at a couple events outside and had no complaints. The remote battery is unreliable and did not work for our second event. The radio receiver worked. The mic is very directional. You have to “eat it” for good sound but I was expecting that with a stock mic.

For the price, these are awesome. The sound is clear. Low end lacks a little (at least on the 12' variant). But other than that. no complaints.

I reviewed this product two days ago and wrote an extremely negative review, as 5 people tried and could not get the speakers to work. After I wrote the review, a 6th person, my 19-year-old son tried. He checked the fuse, and the fuse was in upside down. He turned it around and presto we had sound. Granted the unit should have arrived with the fuse properly installed, but I was very thrilled to get it to work! ... show more

OK, first the bad: I ordered these on December 1st, and they arrived about a week later. I had a small party planned a few days after that, so all was ok there. The problem was that the powered speaker began to smoke after about one minute after power-up. It had the typical smell of electrolytic capacitors, and that's what it was (I looked, two were blown in the power supply, I suspect the AC transformer was wired incorrectly). I contacted the seller, and they were responsive, but they wouldn't cross ship a replacement, so I had none for the party. Seller did email me a return label, and I returned the bad unit, and got the replacement on December 22. Checked out the replacement, and it's fine. My observations: 1 This is not anywhere near pro gear, the enclosures are not super sturdy, the cords, plugs, etc. are of middling quality. 2 The tripod stands are sturdy enough, I have no complaint there 3 The amp is of so-so performance; a noticeable hiss, and there's no way I believe the amp can produce 1500 watts for even a milli-second. These things might be 200 watts program power or so based on what I saw inside, who knows what the peak would be. 4 The bluetooth connectivity was easy enough, but I noticed a ton of hiss when I played music via BT. I used another BT receiver plugged into the aux jack, and that was much better. 5 The few controls are easy and intuitive. 6 The overall sound was not too bad at all, surprisingly, and they are pretty loud. I would say if you want these for a backyard movie night or music, they will be ok. I am concerned about the reliability, and I have seen other reviews stating the same. If I did it again, I would pay up for Sonys, Cerwin Vegas, or Electro-Voice. I think if you buy them you take your chances with quality issues. ... show more

I had a party on a Saturday, they arrived on Thursday so I tested them Friday evening at the venue. First of all, the knob to install one them broke right away (made of cheap plastic). Secondly, when I started playing they constantly had a sort of echoing sound (even though the echo effect was shut off). Thirdly, there was a delay between the two speakers as if they weren’t synced. So, I ended up using other speakers because those sounded terrible. Ps: also the lights didn’t work properly; it goes on and off. I just shut them off. ... show more
