Claudia takes you from treetop to ocean floors in her depictions of nature. What I appreciate about her books the most is her teaching watercolorists the techniques to achieve certain textures that are found in all those domains. This beloved artist passed away in November, 2021. I’m sad that we won’t get any more new books from her, but her current ones will be cherished all the more.

    • Not a new book.
I was so excited that there was a new Claudia Nice book released, as she is my favorite artist in this medium. I own many of her books. I quickly ordered this one and could not wait until it arrived. When I finally sat down with it and a coffee, my heart sank. I have “Painting with Watercolor, Pen and Ink”, and this book is pretty much the same thing. Outside of that, my second problem with this book is that it is printed on inferior paper, and the images are so poor. It makes me angry to think I was so duped! Don’t let this review stop you from purchasing her other books! They are the best on the subject, by far. I treasure them, but beware of this particular publisher. I know I will. ... show more
