this works as described but its like working with a fire hose there is no volume control and it blows out way more finish than you need also lots and lots of over spray it also gets hot where you hold it so wear gloves this is probably pretty good for back rolling t 11 siding fencing etc but a big no go for fine finish work

I have not used this with paint yet, due to the weather being so hot where I live that I am afraid it would dry too quickly. So, I have used it with water to see how well it works. the spray is good in covering the back of a canvas to tighten. Enough to cover easily, but not too much so as to soak the canvas back. I don't like the cord so much, but for what I am using it for, it is doable. I hope to spray the porch railings with it this fall, as the weather cools. It will save time, and make painting so much easier.

This is a 4-star item considering what it is; A small paint sprayer for SMALL jobs. Think of this as a replacement for a can of spray paint. Anything you would paint with a CAN OF SPRAY PAINT, you would use this in its place. It has a low volume paint reservoir that would be sufficient for something small like a single fence panel front & back, a wood bench, maybe a piece of playground equipment like a slide, etc. It's hard to say how many times you'd have to refill depending on the viscosity of the paint and thickness of application. The purpose of something like this (in my opinion) is to get a more even coating of paint on whatever surface you are painting. You can experience uneven application, nozzle splatter and trigger fatigue using a can of spray paint. This spray gun (if used properly) can and will help eliminate the problems you can potentially run into using a can of spray paint. This is a basic, budget, entry level paint sprayer. I also have an intermediate sprayer that I use for mid-sized projects like, for example, a large dresser. Then, I have my "pro" grade airless sprayer that is for big jobs like outdoor siding, spraying the deck, painting a shed, painting multiple rooms, covering popcorn ceilings, etc. It's good to have something like this on hand for quicker clean-up when working on small projects. I don't think you'd be able to cover a shed with this. You'd have to refill every 5 minutes and I think you'd burn the motor out on this trying to run it for multiple hours on end but that's just my best educated guess based on personal experience. So, if I was comparing this to my intermediate sprayer, this rating would go down to 3 stars. If I was comparing to my pro sprayer, it would be 1 star but it's not fair to compare this to other equipment that has completely different functional purposes. You have to really consider the efficacy of using something like this depending on the job you're wanting to do. So, side by side with OTHER budget sprayers (NOT considering performance for BIG projects- that's what my other sprayers are for), this is a 4-star item.

This electric paint sprayer is a surprisingly great tool. It delivers a smooth and consistent spray that is very adjustable. I really appreciate that you can change to different spray orientations for hard to paint crevices without having to move in awkward positions to fill. The adjustable width helps to prevent overspray, which is great for working in a confined space like I have. I used it to coat some large wooden boards, and on some walls in the house. The gun feels solid, and made quick work of jobs that would’ve taken me hours to finish. It is pretty lightweight and didn’t feel heavy or cumbersome over time. The cleanup is quick and easy. The parts detach and the materials clean nicely. This is a reliable sprayer and a great time saver!
