Overall it's a fun introduction to spin art as it's a complete kit. In addition to the machine itself, there's an assortment of paper shapes and sizes. There are a few colors to work with, although limited supply overall. The paint is on the thicker side so there's a fair amount lost compared to what stays on the paper and we used a lot of the paint only halfway through the paper provided. Still, there's a lot of value in these for kids and adults (acting as an adult or simply being a child at heart) alike even if you'll need more materials after an hour or two of making spin art. ... show more

    • Easy and Fun Way To Engage Kids in Art
My 4 year old granddaughter had a great time with this Spin Art Kit. It was extremely easy to set up (note you do have to put in 4 AA batteries). Once set up the paper your using for the art project gets attached securely inside the machine, you push the button and then have fun with adding drops of paint. The eraser crayon allows for further design options which was fun to work with. The splash guard included kept all the paint inside so we didn't have any mess issues. It was nice that our 4 year old was able to work this on her own. All in all, this is a well made art toy that I would give as a gift. ... show more

This is a pretty basic thing...The whole thing is made of fairly cheap/flimsy/inexpensive plastic. It's a bit of a challenge to get all the pieces to snap together correctly. The spinning motion works well, but you have to be very careful how you adhere the paper to that, as it easily shifts and that can cause a bit of a mess. It's a fun idea for a one time, making cards type craft, but it's not something we'd be getting out very often. ... show more

Comes with everything you need. The plastic and mechanics is a bit flimsy in some areas. Still feels it will hold up to multiple uses. Good for an evening of fun and creativity. $24 is a bit high for the construction of it.

This brought back so many memories from when I did this activity as a kid myself. It was really easy to use and comes with many sheets of paper in various shapes & sizes. It was easy to clean up the splatter after usage. There isn't a ton of paint and it doesn't come with refills so I expect after several more designs we will have to find new paint to fill the bottles with!
