I just returned from a 6 week trip to Europe where this was my daypack as well as the travel pack into which I stuffed my netbook, a 7" NookColor tablet, a small journal, my SONY NEX 5 camera and two lenses and a pouch which held a spare battery and memory cards as well as my glasses. In the front pouch I put cash and credit cards along with other odds and ends. The bag was great. On day outings I usually had my NookColor (for the digital guidebooks), my camera and sometimes a rolled up sweatshirt as an additional layer for cool weather. The side pockets held a spare set of reading glasses and the occasional 1/2 litre water bottle. I had no problems of any sort, either with functionality or, apparently, security. Since my return I have ordered a Pacsafe 350 backpack as this bag was a little cramped at times with the things I stuck into it and I sometimes wanted a little more space, particularly when we were on a train or in a plane. But it worked great for all my daily needs and I tend to overpack, so it isn't surprising that it got crowded at times. Looks and quality are good. However, the width is a little too thin. Can only fit a laptop, its accessories, a couple notebooks or a well folded jacket. Just didn’t fit our purpose.
