I used the shampoo for the first time this morning, I am able to wear a black shirt and black cardigan to work without any flakes. My scalp is not adjusted to the new season and dryness of Texas, so I had a lot of flaking going on. I like the smell of the rosemary and mint, it is a little herbal like but I personally like the way fresh herbs smell, not like an overly artificial smell. It lathered up great and gave a nice little tingle sensation... not overly like with a tea tree shampoo but just enough to make you feel awake in the morning. here is where it lost a star, I do feel like you need to really rinse this out of your hair pretty good, which is fine but the main issue I have is that it does feel a little drying. I typically use redken products, so I used this shampoo and my redken conditioner, along with my regular purology hair products before drying. My hair is a little more dry, not overly, then it would be on a fresh wash day. HOWEVER, I do not plan on using this as an every day shampoo anyway, maybe just 1-2 times a week or as needed for flakes. So for the price I think it is well worth it. my hair does not feel weighed down, and we shall see how it feels tomorrow with day 2..... but I do not typically have the best day two after gym hair anyway. I will change my review if there is any significant day 2 post gym difference than my norm. I suspect I will just need to add a little dry oil to my ends after styling. I do not know if I would try any of the other dry scalp products, but that it mainly because I do not usually like to do a lot of masks and products in my hair. This is my second purchase of this shampoo and I’ll continue to buy this. I wash my hair 4 times per week and I always use this for my 1st cleanse. It smells nice and feels refreshing on the scalp. The smell is similar to Aveda Rosemary Mint shampoo. I’ve been using this for a little less than 6 months and I haven’t noticed any drying of my scalp and hair at all. I have fine-textured hair that has a lot of natural gray that I keep colored. I haven’t noticed any downside to using this shampoo and my hair and scalp feel so clean and healthy since using. this works wonderfully as a clarifying shampoo. it smells amazing very minty and fresh. great for oily hair or hair with lots of product buildup.

    • Not a regular use shampoo for dry hair
I bought this because it had the right ingredients for a healthy scalp while being gentle on the hair. I have some occasional dandruff while also having dry hair, I usually use Briogeo banana shampoo, or loreal sulfate free shampoo but I was looking for an affordable alternative to Briogeo that was better than the loreal. The Pacifica Rosemary shampoo worked great a few times, but with regular use I noticed it dries out my hair, I would have to put in extra uses of masks and conditioner to balance it out. I also still feel like my scalp gets oilier sooner because it may be too stripping. Is an ok product, but I will keep looking for what I need. ... show more
