I came across this ethical brand (Pacific Coast Feather Company) and ordered the pillows with the goose feather interior and goose down outer layer. They are so soft and comfortable and fluff back up nicely. I also ordered the white goose down comforter (not goose feather, not duck down) with the 100% cotton shell (not 50% cotton). Altogether it was a splurge but well worth it! The pillows and duvet are so cozy but have max breathability. I also purchased a high-quality (but inexpensive) 100% linen duvet cover set as well. So overall I’m wrapped in fluffy feathery goodness but it’s not too hot for summer use. I’m in CA. My pillows and duvet arrived with a complementary scented hanging tag, it smells so good, I wish PCFC sold these separately! Remember, it is a gift to have a soft and comfortable bed, so making it is never a chore! For 25 years, I’ve had a favorite down twin size comforter that I love to get under for an afternoon nap. It was losing some of it loft and I decided it was time for a new one. I tried a lower priced ‘goose fiber’ comforter, but it had no loft and had a stiff and crinkly cover. This one is just the opposite – the same loft as my old comforter only better and the cover is quiet and not stiff. It could be a tiny bit softer, but I think that will come from use over time. I’ve used it three times now and I can’t really tell the difference from my old comforter except that my feet don’t get cold! just what I wanted – you definitely get what you pay for.

The only reason for the one star review It’s not because it’s poorly made, not down filled not beautiful But….NOT an ALL SEASON Duvet. This is not an all season down duvet. At night during the winter months (Dec-Mar) I lower the heat to 64 degrees. This is chilly by most standards in most homes. Unfortunately, this duvet is so over filled for an all season duvet. I wake up in a pool of sweat, bedding feels quite damp to the touch very uncomfortable and unhappy. I lived in France for 13yrs. It’s cold/damp/ not great heating there in winter. I purchased an all season down duvet in France (made in France) It was down duvet and it was perfect.. All season should mean just that, all of the seasons it can will be used without compromise meaning no sweating!!!

I like it overall. The unpacked duver puffs up after 2 full days, but I can see some empty space within the comparments/squares. The duvet is very soft but it makes (crunch) noise when I move. Maybe a cover will help with that. It is thick and warm BUT not enough for cold days in North California if used alone. The waffle details are elegant. After 2 months of using, I am happy with the quality. Even with some discount I still think it's a little too pricy. I appreciate the 8 secured tie loops.

Too bad they completely missed with the size. We purchased the King, which we found out is shorter and narrower than a standard King-sized comforter cover, so it doesn't fill and of the covers (we tried two and also looked up the standard size - which is 108W x 96L ). This apparently is only 106W x 90L. The result is that the product looks uneven and misshapen and cheap on the bed since it's undersized. Seems comfortable and soft - although much thinner than expected.
