Just do a quick patch test first, and if any irritation appears, wash the area and discontinue use. What does premium grade mean? IFRA recognizes three oil grades: Burning, Manufacturers, and Premium. Only Premium is fully tested for safe skin and body use. All P&J Trading oils are Premium Grade, so they’re safe for any fragrance application, including direct topical use. Are your oils pet friendly? I am using this in lotion and perfume making. I love the scent as it has grown on me, and it isn't too masculine or sharp. However, I was looking for something that smelled more like black leather, I guess? To me, this leather is soft, it's warm, in my projects it creates depth first; that 'seasoned fabric' sent later. I’ve tried several leather fragrance oils, and this one from P&J Trading is by far the best! Unlike other brands I’ve purchased, this one truly captures the rich, authentic smell of real leather. The scent is bold, clean, and incredibly realistic—not artificial or weak. What really sets it apart is the excellent scent throw. A little goes a long way, and the fragrance fills the space beautifully. The other leather oils I’ve tried barely smelled like leather at all and faded quickly, but this one performs exactly as I hoped. Straight out of the bottle it is a rather sweet smelling, but after sitting for a little bit, it is unmistakably leather. I am using it in just a regular felt-pad diffuser. The scent is not too strong, but not too weak either. It reminds me of new leather goods. I bought this out of curiosity. To my surprise this smells exactly like leather. At first when you open the bottle it smells off almost witty. After about 10 minutes it comes out as that familiar leather scent. Strong but not over powering.

Although this is not that leather scent I’m looking for. (You know the one where you walk past the leather store in the mall, or inside a new shoe) This is nice though. It’s like you sprayed something sweet, used tobacco and then a 2% hint of leather.
