We purchased a new refrigerator and it didn’t come with a butter dish like in the old days! So I got one! I love that I can fit two sticks of butter in it! It’s sturdy, easy to open and keep my butter fresh and soft! I love OXO products!

I needed a butter dish to hold euro-size bricks of butter like KerryGold and the butter Costco sells. This is just perfect. As an aside, this butter is much denser and has more fat (and flavor) than what's made in America. This dish holds it secure and keeps it fresh. Due to arthritis in my hands, I had to move from a porcelain dish to this lighter butter dish. The dish holds 1/2 pound of butter easily and there’s enough rim left to avoid getting butter in the clear top. The handles are easy to grip and don’t slip in my hands. We didn’t notice when we ordered it, but our new refrigerator didn’t come with a butter bin. We were pretty surprised, but we guess it went the way of the former egg bins. After searching for something that would meet our needs, we found this dish. It works great, is well made and sturdy, fits two sticks of butter on the dish, and is easy to clean. I bought 2, one for cream cheese block and one for block of Irish butter. Works great for both. Less plastic containers to have to put in recycling. OXO products are always good.
