Elegant and Effective
I have very long hair (near knee length). I also have a brand new shower that I didn't want to clog up like the old one, nor need Draino or other drastic measures. This drain cover is -fabulous-. The pictures show it next to the drain and covering the drain. It fits the little depression perfectly and looks really nice, fitting in beautifully with the new bathroom fixtures. Even better, I accidentally stepped on it and mashed it flat and it's holding that shape without looking mangled, so now it doesn't graze my arches when I step too close. It is still possible for me to jostle it around but a tiny nudge gets it back in place. Note, I see a lot of questions on this: It is NOT attached. It just sits over your drain. The silicone edge helps it keep a little bit of a grip and also allows easy picking up to remove the hair it's caught. It catches hair really well. At least the longer ones. Thanks to trychotillomania I have hairs on my head in every length from stubble to knee length, and I can't be sure the shorter ones aren't getting through the holes. But it's been very simple to scoop off the loops of hair after a hair wash and toss them in the trash. This is a serious QoL purchase. Thanks, OXO!

Perfect for Chemotherapy Hair Loss
This shower stall drain protector is easy to put into place and easy to slide to a side for cleaning. Water flows freely when the protector is in place, but any hair remains on top to be wiped away easily. For anyone about to begin chemotherapy and who expects to lose hair, this protector is the perfect way to avoid a clogged shower drain. Take care, though: You don't want to stand on the protector as it can slip around.

Use it Upside Down
Depending on the slope of your shower floor or bathtub, you may find that this works better upside down. When I used it with the OXO logo facing up towards me, hair slid underneath. After flipping it over, it formed a better seal.

This works

Perfect
This fits our standard shower stall drain perfectly. It’s heavy enough that it stays in place, no problem. The first time I stepped directly on it, it surprised me that it dented in, but it easily popped back to normal. So glad I purchased! It catches a lot of hair, and it does not slow water’s ability to drain.

Works
Works great. It catches all the hairs in the shower, which it'd have a better grip to the floor tile but it doesn't really move unless you push it with your feet by accident.

Excellent bathtub drain cover
We’ve used silicone covers for a long time, but they always got dirty. We now use this, and it remains clean. It’s easy to remove hair, a real improvement over the silicone.

Best shower drain yet
It's perfect only complaint is sometimes I can slide out of place but for the most part it works amazing.
