I purchased this set specifically for salad making & cheese grating, and it gets the job done! Got tired of draggin out my full size slicer for radishes & onion for salad. I was pleasantly surprised how radishes & onions come out, they are thin enough to give you their flavor, but not so big as to take over the whole flavor of the salad. I have a rasp for grating cheese that works just fine, however, using the small grater is useful when I make soups & want to add some Romano or Parmesan grated small enough to easily blend into the soup w/o clumping. The julienne blade has encouraged me to start adding zucchini shreds to my salads as well, who knew? lol, guess you CAN be an old dog & learn a new trick or two! ... show more
