This design is brilliant compared to the rest of the complicated spiralizers out there. It is compact and easy to use. No frills, nothing to assemble or take apart really. When you are done just put it in the dishwasher or wash by hand with a brush like any other dish. We use this almost exclusively for zucchini. It is wonderful. I find it very easy to hold this down flat on a cutting board (like an upside-down cup) and press the zucchini-half down against the sharp part and twist the cup. Be careful and do not touch the blades! We only use the green one my wife found at a rummage sale--we liked it so much we bought the 3-set here on Amazon as a gift, so we haven't tried the other orange or red one ... show more

Used several times to shred and spiralize zucchini and cucumbers. Concept is great for those with limited space; however if it is too hard to hold the produce to manipulate, it is not worth the money. The different blades are nice to have for variety of spirals. My spirals ended up 2” long at most. I may have not been working it properly due to my insufficient grip. ... show more

    • It’s alright

It makes it way quicker to spiral zukes than cutting them with a knife. The gripper part that is supposed to hold the zuke, just pretty much shreds it. It doesn’t hold onto it well enough to minimize the risk of cutting your fingers. I go really slow so I don’t, once I get the zuke down to about 2”. Then I remove it & chop it up to use in a stirfry some other time. I’m not entirely please with it, but also not completely dissatisfied. More like “meh” it works. ... show more

    • Lots of waste, tiring to use

While this is well made and convenient to store, it seems to "waste" a bigger core of the veggie that you're spiralizing. It's also tiring to use due to the grip/hand position, which doesn't let you get as much leverage as one that you can wrap your whole hand around.

    • Too hard to use

I live oxo products and this is an exception. I have a veggeti which is amazing if hard to clean. The oxo products is at least 2-3x more work because it uses a flat cutting surface. Notice the veggeti is angled for a longer surface. It not only helps keep the produce straight making it easier to apply pressure but you get a lot more noodle for the work. This is painfully slow to use and it's hard to continuously apply enough pressure to keep it going. Look at the video closely, you'll see even they're struggling. I'll try theounted one next. I can see why oxo made it, this isn't useful for much. Note that I only tried the wide noodle cutter, the thin noodles may be better and useful but like I wrote above, no need to even try it since the veggeti will be even better and I already have one (and it costs less). ... show more
