I used to have a thick cloth-like pad that I laid out on the counter when hand-washing dishes and what I didn't like about that is I felt it could get gross because I never knew how many times I had used it or it had thoroughly dried. It needed to be thrown in the laundry to wash it. I love this thing! It's fairly small, holds a fair amount of cups, and I can easily wash it. I just leave it on the counter and it's white so it looks nice and you don't even really notice it's there. Very good quality. I only hand wash the cups that you can't put in the dishwasher so I don't hand-wash a lot of dishes just to be clear. If you hand-wash a lot of dishes or don't have a dish washer then this probably isn't big enough. ... show more

I have a small kitchen and small space behind my sink and under the upper cabinets, where this dishrack fits. The form makes it flexible- it holds dishes and glasses, and since there are no sides, I can easily load it without getting interference from the cabinet. The biggest negative (since I knew this when I purchased it i'm not taking away stars) is that it is all plastic, which is something I'd like to get away from. Perfect solution if you need a visually clean, non-draining dish rack capable of holding 2-people’s worth of lightweight dishes. I have glass Corelle Vitrelle plates & bowls and Kinto glassware, which pair really well with this rack. The peg-less tray section is great for silverware and kitchen tools such as ladles/spatulas. I’m in Utah, so even though it’s non-draining I never need to dump the water. Note that it doesn’t work as well with heavy, lipped plates, but it does still work. Didn’t see anything on the market even remotely visually competitive for a clean look. Would buy again. ... show more

Update: After having used it for a while, I have to take one star off of my original 5-star review since I've noticed that this dish rack is very difficult to clean. If you don't dump the water from the crevices immediately, orange water stains will collect in them. That would be fine if there was a way to easily clean these thin canals. But due to the spikes that hold the dishes, there's really no way to get your hand in there to clean them. I now have to use a small piece of paper towel and guide it through the canals with the end of fork or knife to get the canals clean. Other than that, I still think it's a great compact dish rack. Original Review: We have lots of Oxo products, and per usual, Oxo didn't disappoint. They simply design kitchen tools well. I'd been trying to find a small dish rack that would take up minimal space, hold a fair amount of dishes and cups of various sizes without them tipping over or being precariously placed, and be easy to clean. This fit all those needs. It's durable, the water can be easily dumped out, and there's no need for a separate drip tray or mat. There's also no need there's no need for a separate utensil holder. And since there's no drip spout to worry about, it can be placed horizontally or vertically next to your sink. We only have 10" on one side of our sink so placed it vertically. Most of the other mini dish racks I saw only drained water on the short side, not the long side, so we couldn't use them. This solved that problem. ... show more

This is the dish rack I’ve been looking for! It’s so small and compact yet you can fit a lot of dishes. I hate having dish racks or clutter next to the sink but this one is so minimalistic yet functional. Before this I was using a roll over the sink (which I still use for extra dishes) and a dish mat next to the sink. This by far fits way more dishes than both combined and dries everything better. There’s no drain hole which has not been an issue for me. Once I put the dishes away I just give it a good rinse, lay it on its side to dry out and it’s good to go. ... show more

I bought this for my office initially for cleaning lunch utensils, bowls, plates, and cups. It worked well to bring to the communal sink, wash my wares, drain it on the spot, and take back to dry in my office. No frills, didn't take up a lot of real estate, and a was neat. When I moved to work at home, since I already had dedicated dishwasher, I used this item to dry smaller times that usually got lost or I needed more readily available, such as manual espresso making parts, coffee accessories, favorite utensils, and the like. This is nearly a year later, and it is handy for just that without taking up much space. If I were to be critical of anything, because I clean up coffee peripherals, it does become necessary to use a baby bottle brush to keep this organizer clean because of all of the nooks and crannies too difficult to reach with just a hand and sponge. Other than that, this is a great little niche cleaning organizer for kitchen stuff. It can hold a large pot an lid in a pinch as well. I hope this review helps. ... show more

I actually purchased this for our work break room. We always had cups and bowls everywhere in the sink. I also pump, so I’d hang my pump parts over napkins. This is slim and good material for the price! It seems sturdy! Easy to clean.     • BEST in-sink drying rack ever

We have a double-welled sink, and we use one side for washing and the other for drying. The shape and material of this drying rack is absolutely perfect for this. The pegs are sturdy, so can hold any weight we’ve given them (including heavy skillets) but also tipped with a soft latex, so we haven’t had any trouble with it scuffing dishes or leaving marks. Moreover, the fact that there are pegs versus “slots” (as in a typical dish rack) means that we can put anything upright to dry, securely and with no worries. Wine glasses and cutting boards in particular have been a big problem in the past on “traditional” drying racks, always falling over. No problems here! Also, you can dry kitchen knives with no worry of cutting yourself, as the pegs stop your hand if you’ve laid the blade between them. 10/10, favorite gadget I’ve bought for the kitchen within the past year.
