I ordered the white thermos b/c it was on sale and not b/c I needed it but to my surprise it's really good! There are 5 parts total to cleaning, the lid is made of 4 and then there's the base. Once you follow the directions it's easy to put together, not a lot of strength needed for the assembling. I hand wash my dishes so this one was pretty easy, I use the Oxo brush for the lid parts and it does the job. The mouth is wide enough for my ice to fit so it's easier to grab. I just add water throw in some ice and I'm on my way out. On the weekends, I like to roam around with tea and it keeps it hot. The versatility of the bottle makes it that much better. Also, leakproof. Only suggestion - a handle would have me it even better so it's easier to carry. Other than that- it's a great product! ... show more

Keeps coffee very hot, fits in our small drink holder in the car, seals very well and doesn’t spill, “spout” opens easily, and the top can be taken apart easily for washing in the dishwasher. This was to replace their older “pop up” version my husband had and he loves this one even more!

This fits the hand perfectly. Not to heavy and held coffee to a pleasant temp for over 13 hours. It took me a few how to figure out reassembling the top after washing it. This was the purpose of our purchase a more sanitary lid feature then ordinary coffee lids where you can't get under the seals to clean to well. I used to own the older versions of this thermos, the ones where there was a push-down button for a plunger type seal. I used those religiously when I taught, and it would keep my hot tea hot/warm reliably during days when I wasn’t sure if I’d be getting to sip it regularly throughout the day, or be too busy to even touch it until lunchtime. Those ones would get worn out, with the plunger mechanism breaking down, but I would probably replace the thermos once a year or every other year, and I remember them costing about $20. Completely reasonable for the use I got out of it. Since they discontinued that line, I have been desperately searching for an equivalent. It wasn’t until this year, I decided to try this version out from the original company I was sworn to. The insulation capability of this line is definitely comparable, and it’s nice to have a thermos that will keep my beverage consistently hot throughout those busy days that I might not get to leisurely sip throughout the day. The lid and sealing design are definitely different, and offer some challenges that I do not like. As some other customers have noted, the twist design makes things extremely difficult whenever the container pressurizes from the hot beverage inside. I hope in future designs, they might incorporate some treading or some way to allow for a better grip on the top portion of the lid. ... show more

The color and feel is nice. The16oz size is much smaller in appearance than many of my other coffee mugs. What is most disappointing is that it doesn’t keep the coffee temperature hot for very long. With my previous mug, I usually make my coffee with a small amount of creamer at 6:30 am and it remained nice and hot well past noon. Even when leaving work at 5:30 pm it was still warm enough. However, with this coffee mug by 10 am it’s lukewarm at best. I have not tried it with cold drinks yet. It fits into the car holder, and it’s easy to grasp as it’s so small. It appears to be leak resistant so far. I don’t mind that it doesn’t have a handle since it’s easy enough to hold. I haven’t taken it apart yet to clean the lid so hopefully it will not be too complicated. It’s not a great value since I purchased it to be able to sip my coffee throughout the morning. My previous mug was stolen at work so as soon as it arrived I put a sticker on it. If I had not put a sticker on it I would have returned it. Unfortunately, I purchased a bigger one for my husband the same day it arrived (he liked the look). He will keep his and use it for cold drinks. Hopefully, it keeps things cold. I would not recommend this mug unless you are able to drink your brew within a short time after making it. ... show more

I've gone through a dozen insulated mugs over the last 15 years but the first day of using and washing this OXO mug I knew it was going to be my absolute favorite. It's solid, attractive, keeps hot stuff hot and cold stuff cold. Best of all, it's entirely dishwasher safe and the lid isn't an uncleanable mold-farm hellscape like nearly every other mug I've owned. I should have grabbed this one years ago. OXO is the Apple of home products; you pay handsomely for their products but 1) you get exactly what you pay for; 2) the build quality is tops; and 3) they last forever. ... show more
