Used on my stovetop tea kettle.

I bought this to try to clean the mineral buildup in my stove top tea kettle. It actually worked quite well overall. The only spot that wasn’t completely cleared is where the buildup was the heaviest right around the pouring spout. Much better result than anything else I’ve tried. I added a third of the bottle as directed for coffee makers. Filled the kettle with water and brought it to a boil. Allowed it to sit for 30-40 minutes after boiling before dumping out the cleaner and rinsing several times- including heating the rinse water to boiling and dumping out. ... show more

Expensive, But The 'Approved' Solution

Seems to do a good job on my Oxobrew coffee maker (impossible to tell). I'm hoping it's non-toxic or I'll be shopping for a new liver at some point.

If you have hard water you have to clean your coffee pot.

I guess it works, hard to rate something you really can't see. I bought my OXO coffee pot in January and a bottle of cleaner came with it. I'm on my 2nd cleaning the end of June. I have very hard water where I live and I only use filtered water in my coffee but it's hard to get a lot of the yuck out even with a filter system with the added chlorine filters. So when the machine clean light turns on, here we go. Not sure how many uses there have been but one bottle does 3 cleanings. ... show more
