Description

Before use, preheat for 30 seconds. Then turn to a small fire, add oxalic acid, and the first smoke is slightly smaller. After two or three times the temperature is suitable for smoke. Blue smoke means the fire is too large. Normally the smoke is white. The length of the smoke time is also determined according to the amount of oxalic acid. Normally it is about ten seconds. Do not directly spray the bee. Deep Hive for 5 grams, Honey Super for 8 grams. The small spoon included in the package is about 5 grams.How to use: 1. Open the fire and open the lid to preheat the oxalic acid atomizer for one minute (a small amount of water can be added to heat the atomizer smoke pipe and unclog the smoke pipe.) 2. Put in the appropriate amount of oxalic acid, close the lid and check the atomization effect.that vaporizer starts to spray smoke. 3. When the smoke does not rise, it can be operated normally 4. After use, add a small amount of water to the atomizer, and heat the smoke pipe mouth diagonally downward to clean the residue in the pipeIf the pipe blockage occurs, immediately stop using and clear the residue in the pipe. Arrived without directions, but looking at the advertisement for and pictures of the product made it clear how it all goes together. It was originally advertised as a propane burner, but it uses butane canisters. The butane canisters it uses are the ones with a “C” shaped fitting on top, not the ones ment for pouring the butane into a cigarette lighter. The torch, itself is the cheapest, flimsiest Chinese model you could find, but adequate for the task. I did purchase a better made Japanese butane torch at the same time for kitchen use, and they are easily interchangeable. The stainless steel oxalic acid vaporizer is a work of art, and the reason for the purchase. Fast, efficient, no cork to pop off and spray you with liquid oxalic acid. Arrived with an odd stainless steel extension that seems to serve no purpose. It did arrive with an extra seal, but I wonder where replacement seals could be obtained, although there seems to be little or no wear on the installed seal so far. And or course, you would never, ever want to be spraying Oxalic Acid vapors indoors, although you could use the butane torch indoors as chefs use them in the kitchen for browning. ... show more

A pinhole developed in the weld on the side of the heating chamber of mine. It was well past the 30-day return policy, so I contacted the seller to ask how I could get it repaired. They only requested my shipping address and sent me a replacement—no questions asked. I am very impressed with their customer service.     • don't waste your money
I want to like it but the butane can doesn't stay on so useless. I have tried many different butane cans and not one stays on to make this usable. Literally need two people to use to keep the can attached. The idea is great and I wish it would work correctly.

    • Easy, Affordable, and Portable Vaporizer.
Used on 4 hives so far, worked just fine. Get can get the butane tanks at Walmart or here on Amazon. I used the Coleman butane tank from Walmart it worked great. I put in the oxalic acid powder, close the lid, turn on the flame on the lowest setting and off it goes. It works quickly. I would also suggest you rotate the burner 90 degrees, so the butane can is sticking out to the side rather than straight down, it makes it much easier to use. Great product.     • Tip clogs frequently
Works most of the time, but the tip clogs frequently and then you need to clean it with water vapor. I am not sure I would trust the efficacy of the amount of product being delivered into the hive with how often the tip clogs.

    • Runs too hot and needs a thermometer to allow lowest fuel flow.
Runs too hot; but, am trying to use a meat thermometer and low adjustment. OX changes to water vapor at high temperature and may not kill the mites.

    • Great product
I used this last week to treat my 21 beehives. This thing works really great. The only issue i have is having to hold it in place. When I do treatments, I am usually running from hive to hive covering and uncovering different hives. I am trying to figure a way out to set this up where I can start it and leave it in place. The can makes it fairly heavy. And the metal stem that goes into the hive will bend a little if left dangling. If there was a way to hang it while it distributes the dose would be a perk. But it is still worth the money. I treated all 21 hives with 1 can of butane and the can is not empty yet. Some hives are 3 deeps full all the way down to 5 frame nucs. Definitely worth the money and works very well. After the 3rd treatment, I am absolutely impressed. I use a 500 dollar instavap from Lorob at work. I prefer this butane vaporizor. Glad I didn't pay big bucks for the battery operated one from Lorob. I love this thing. ... show more
