We have these curtains in between our kitchen and back “storage”/extra room that is sometimes cluttered with things to be put away, and it isn’t as insulated as it should be. They’re nice and thick and have a subtle pattern which I’m a big fan of. I didn’t necessarily want something plain, but nothing with too much of a pattern either. These are perfect. For some reason I always feel a draft but I read that the cold air near windows often feel like the air is being blown in. With these curtains you definitely won't feel the draft and the curtains are thick and do a good job of blacking out the light. While the blinds add privacy there nothing like a thick insulated curtain to block the light. These curtains have some weight to them but with the right rods you'll have no bending. ... show more

I [RECOMMEND] this product. Handsome set of buffalo check blackout curtains. Used in my dining room and offset with a set of sheers. Pros ~Multiple hanging options ~Blackouts ~Soft fabric ~Great buffalo check pattern Cons ~None If you still want some more information about this product, please read on! ______________________________________________________________ This is a very nice set of curtains, especially if you appreciate a soft buffalo check pattern. I did not order them for the blackout capability, but they are a good set of blackouts. (If I was looking for blackouts, these suffer the same fate all blackout curtains do - how to keep the seam closed when pulled. Mini-magnets to the rescue!) They are constructed with the buffalo check pattern on the outside and the (white) blackening panel on the inside. Aesthetically speaking, the side of the curtains facing outside will be a solid white. You can hang this set with either the back tabs or the rod pocket depending on how you want the curtains to hang/bunch. Tabs are stitched well. The buffalo check pattern is somewhat neutral. Grey and white colored. Will blend nicely in most color palettes, but especially help offset a black scheme and add a bit of color to a neutral white/beige scheme. Out of the package, these are a bit wrinkled (to be expected) but mellowed out after a day of being hung. A mild iron or quick air cycle in the dryer would get rid of all wrinkles. Overall, this set had everything I was looking for (and the added bonus of the blackouts helping with the slider door draft) and I would recommend these. ... show more

Overall we liked these curtains quite a bit. We needed a temporary set of curtains to put up in our dining room for privacy, until deciding on what type/color/brand of curtains to use permamently. These were surprisingly good quality, and we like the subtle but noticeable check pattern on them. They also seemed to help a bit with insulating the windows from the winter cold. I didnt measure before purchasing them, and they ended up not being wide enough to cover our entire window. But our window is quite large, and I didnt necessarily expect them to fit properly given I didnt measure. Overall, nice curtains to help with insulating cold windows, and very good for blocking light, and for privacy. ... show more
