I was a little surprised at how well this went together. Other posts complain about the difficulty with the instructions...I guess you have to be comfortable with a one-page pictorial and no step-by-step instructions. The main thing to remember when assembling is to not tighten any screws until all they are all in, then tighten. When fully assembled all items are very sturdy. One ottoman had a very bad rocking in it, but that was fixed quickly with a stick-on pad under one leg. Other than that, the back pillows on the sofa seemed a little too thin or at least compressed too much for my liking. I purchased 2" thick memory foam and stuffed into the back of each pillow, and they are very comfortable now. One other thing I'm doing to make the ottomans more versatile: I'm installing 3/8" thick black ABS (textured surface) on top of each ottoman, then Velcro the cushions onto the ABS. So, they can either be used for sitting or I can take the cushion off and have a smooth flat surface for drinks and/or plates. The reason I purchased this set was specifically for the narrow width of the sofa, I had a limited space where it was going. Also, I first found this item at Lowe's for $110 more, then did a quick search on Amazon and was happily surprised with the price. Overall, it's a nice set. ... show more

Built well. Metal frame is solid. Assembly took 2hrs for first one, hour for second (we ordered two). Butt cushions are firm, backs are little soft. Everything arrived in good shape, even though boxes were pretty beat up. They are efficient at getting everything in a compact box. Even supplied extra hardware. Happy with it so far. ... show more

Much darker than photos

I was very disappointed in the color of both the wicker and the cushions. All of the photos portray a grey wicker frame, and a much lighter shade of blue cushions. The actual color of the wicker is more of a brownish/black and unfortunately does not go at all with my room decor. The cushions are a very dark blue, not quite navy. Also, the fabric feels and looks cheap and the back cushions are thin. I do like the style of the sofa with the curved/higher back, and it does seem fairly solid, so it's not a total disaster. Again, I'm mainly disappointed with the color as I expected something completely different. I do not understand how sellers get away with posting photos which make the furniture look so much more appealing than it really is, but I guess they know it is a major hassle to try to return a huge piece of furniture. ... show more

instructions are poorly written

instructions were poorly written and not exactly in order. took my husband 3 hours to put one swivel chair and the small side table. after that , the other chair was a bit easier to put together.

I put this together by myself in under 1 hour HOWEVER using my husband’s wrench set. With the tools you get, you’re going to break every finger and be there for hours. Overall the quality is superb and it looks beautiful. Super comfortable and easy to assemble. Good instructions.
