  • Works great
I clip this to my craft table to hold my Kodak Z7590 camera. It is sturdy, flexible, adjusts easily and I expect to get many years of use out of this flexible arm tripod.

  • Functional if Camera is Mounted Currently
Mount is decent for the price. Top arm springs back up on it's own if there is not a camera attached, lower arm incredibly stiff at all times. Stable once positioned.

  • Requires some fine-tuning
Regardless of if your camera is "light" or "heavy" this thing requires some fine tuning. The first thing you should do is buy a cheap "quick removable" tripod head. They are $12-25 and attach to the screw in mount. Now when you need to attach or remove your camera you don't have to endlessly spin it, you can just use the quick-release plate of the attached tripod head. You can greatly adjust the tensile strength of the arm by moving the pins on the upper arm which adjusts the length of the springs. Read the manual that came with it for a better explanation but it makes a big difference if you find your arm "floating" more than you want it to or snapping back in place. It's also worth noting that the springs are a lot snappier when you first get it, so give it a little time under load (a couple weeks) to really settle in and reach their proper resting place. ... show more

  • It's fine
Not the greatest for holding a mirrorless or full-sized dslr, but works just fine with a phone. Cheap construction, but you get what you pay for.

  • Perfect!!
This is exactly what I needed to attach to my tabletop projector.

  • Just not terribly sturdy.
I want to like these. I like the idea of these for my ring light. But the flimsy aluminum clamp that affixes the unit to a table just isnโ€™t quality. The more you try to tighten the clamp, the further it spreads apart, so it never tightens down. I started with the standard and even had it replaced with the more heavy duty but I couldnโ€™t tell much of a difference.cutting my losses and moving on to a different brand. ... show more

  • Works much better than anticipated
I wanted a way to position my Sony A6000 with a macro lens over my desktop. This spring loaded arm looked like a great solution IF it could hold the weight. When I opened the box I thought for sure that I'd be returning it because the arms are the same weight and size as other lightweight spring arms on lamps I have but the springs are this are much stiffer. While I didn't test the 5 lb claimed max capacity it held the 1.7 lb camera, lens & ball head well enough without the arm sagging. But the 1/4" camera screw will not hold it's position if you try to lock it at anything other than straight up or down. Pointed straight down or up it works well enough with a small ball head mounted to angle the camera. It does take a few seconds for the arm to stop bouncing after you adjust it but it is to be expected for this kind of design. An inexpensive IR shutter remote is a great help. ... show more

  • Not sturdy
Its not terrible but my a7iii and 90mm lens kept drifting. I had to keep tightening down to a point where I thought it might break, so I returned it. There's no vibration compensation so I recommend using a high shutter speed and or remote
