Not much iPhone experience here, having previously only one knock-off Otter box style case (3-piece) for my iPhone 6. I expected this one to be floppy silicone (solid) that could easily be removed and replaced. Turns out it is silicone coated over a rigid plastic shell. Very good quality construction. Very easy to pop the phone in, but challenging to pop it back out (afraid of breaking something with all the bending and twisting). I suppose that is a good situation, so the phone is well gripped in the case. Outer surface is not as grippy as pure silicone, but far better than the glass smooth phone case. As others point out, it can attract dust and crumbs in your pocket, but I find it easy to brush off by hand - not so sticky that a wet wipe is required.
