First off, my dog destroys 95% of her toys by breaking the squeaker. The quickest she broke one of her squeaky toys is 1 squeak. The reason I say this is because this toy has lasted and survived the onslaught my dog usually brings. The squeakers still work and she absolutely loves this toy (especially because it is bigger than her and she looks funny carrying it around). I got this toy on sale and I can say it is worth the full price if I need to replace it. This is my dogs favorite toy. She will spend hours squeaking it. She shows it off to everyone who stops by. She usually kills most of the squeakers in about 2 weeks, starts pulling stuffing out after 3-4 months. Then we are allowed to play with it. She like to play tug with it. They stick around for about 6 months when suddenly a new hedgie arrives. Rosie is 165 pound Great Pyrenees mix. We accidentally got her the small one. She still loves that one. It's baby hedgie. She will not let us play with that one. The prices for these fluctuate from $10-30 so I stockpile when they are $10. I keep some on hand incase it gets shredded too soon. The quality has stayed consistent. The only con is the grunting feature. Rosie loves it but too much. That is the first part to be destroyed. Once she rips Hedgie open to get the grunter it is a plastic bag over stuffing with a plastic neck. I worry about her eating that part. But we have not had an issue with that happening and we've been giving her these for about 6 years now. ... show more

It only lasts a month or two, but his only love. Whenever it goes too torn to repair, I would try to find a new toy for time. He would lose interest in each one in a day or two. I decided to just buy him another of these. All the world was right again for him. We are on Herbie the Hedgehog number 13 now. I have a pitbull full of breeding abuse and sheltering. At 5.5 years it's a miracle she even likes people but she DOES!!! And she LOVES this toy. Although she easily could, she will not tear it apart. I've gotten them for friends too and their babies love them!!! 5 SUPERSTARS!!!!

Ok, so my dog is an aggressive chewer and he of course decided to remove the squeaker... Well in his surgical precision he first cleaned the area of all fur, and then removed the cotton obstruction. When he was finished with the preparation, he then carefully removed both noise makers. Apparently his diagnosis was that the squeakers needed to be chewed on. 🤷🏽 The mess left behind was what you would expect, and so as his assistant I cleaned up the area. What I did not expect was to mistake some of the hair for a creepy crawler. I freaked out a little bit, but was able to maintain my composure enough to realize it was not infact a creepy crawler but instead a tuft of hair from the patient.
