  • Low distortion and runs cool! Low distortion and runs cool!
Size: 1 x 200WPC Balanced Input Stage
With 200w @ 8 ohms and 27dB (1.7v sensitivity), this monoblock is a perfect center channel match-up for my Yamaha RX-A3080. Has the option for a balanced output. I was concerned about heat buildup in console, but it runs naturally cool. I added a 12v triggered fan to the back of the cabinet space and it stays at approx. 84°F. Excellent sound imaging! Cons: -Has a large footprint for one channel -Could be cheaper for one channel, but it's solidly built ;-) ... show more

I was surprised, clean, clear sound. Powerful, no hiss, zero. I reccomend this amp, I use it as a center channel amp.

  • Good so far
Size: 1 x 200WPC Balanced Input Stage
Have two of them running the L&R front speakers. Maybe 4 hours of uses so far. Over heated one of them running at about 90% volume. Yes that was loud, I don't think I'll run it that loud again. Other than that I'm very satisfied with them.

  • Perfect, clean and clear sound
Size: 1 x 200WPC Balanced Input Stage
I bought 3 of these from Outlaw to get a discount bundle deal. My speakers front left' center and right sound much better than before without turning up the volume at 50% or more. Upgraded from 120 watts per channel to 200 watts per channel. I love them and they will be my end game for my home theater system. This is one of those thing buy one cry one. ... show more

  • Powerful, cool, stackable, great sounding for music & home theater. Powerful, cool, stackable, great sounding for music & home theater.
Size: 1 x 200WPC Balanced Input Stage
My budget was under $1k, and I needed something with about 200 watts per channel to power my Klipsch RP8000F tower speakers. Needed to work nicely with my Yamaha Aventage A2A receiver sending the signal to these. The two options I heard the best reviews about for my budget & needs were these, and Emotiva. What made me choose Outlaw was they don't have fans (the noise when fans kick on would annoy me). These are built to not get too hot after extended use and are designed to safely stack on top of each other. The one thing I heard is supposedly Outlaw sounds better for home theater and Emotiva for music. My opinion is amps do one thing - provide power. The quality of the speakers will impact the sound itself. If the amp has a high THD then that could impact sound quality, but the THD specs were low for both so I gave Outlaw a shot (would have returned and tried Emotiva if not pleased with them). I lucked out regarding the ground loop/buzz issue many have talked about if using RCA connections, which was my only option due to my AVR only having RCA pre-outs. No buzz or hum. If placing my ear literally inside the horn of my Klipsch tweeter, with nothing playing there is a very faint hiss. With the AVR, that same kind of hiss comes up when turning the volume up more (with nothing playing). Normal noise floor, I read even the Emotiva has that same slight hiss. So does my SVS subwoofer. In all cases once I back my ear out of the horn, from inches away I can't hear it. So no impact to the sound quality of music or home theater. For both music & home theater the sound quality is clean and dynamic, especially as the volume goes up. Less strain on the Outlaw vs the Yamaha at louder levels just helps the power source breathe and bring out the best in the speakers. Home Theater also improves by adding power and dynamics to my other speakers being powered by my AVR. Since it's no longer tasked with powering the mains, it has more headroom and power available for the other speakers. Very happy with these, not returning or comparing to Emotiva, these do exactly what I hoped for (actually exceeded my expectations sound wise). Main reason I got them was just to avoid clipping risks since my AVR even at just 2 channels driven maxed out at 100 watts per channel, and my speakers needing 150 to be at their best. I have heard the bigger risk is under powering speakers - a clipped signal can fry a tweeter pretty quick. If having up to twice the power of the RMS or continuous rating of the speaker, the sound is at its best. 200 not twice as much but still above 150. I also read Outlaw is conservative in their specs. Tests on these actually have them at about 215 watts. Obviously the only risk there is cranking the volume you so high it blows the speakers. But I'd have police knocking on my door and permanent hearing damage if ever raising the volume close to that level. Very happy with these & I highly recommend Outlaw for both music & home theater. They never get too hot, even after having it on all day with music blasting & home theater, after 6-8 hrs once shutting it down it very quickly goes back to room temp. Even when stacked and in a shelf like mine that is only ventilated in the front. ... show more
