This is a light weight tent that seems to be a good deal for the price. It is a perfect size for my situation. I'm disabled and have a 7yr old child. As it will be just the 2 of us camping, I needed something fairly easy to put up and take down that still had enough space for us to be comfortable. This tent fits those requirements well. Not only is it easy to take down but I can get it back in the bag without too much difficulty. It took a bit to set up the first time. If the material holding the legs to the poles is not slid down, it prevents the legs from completely extending. The tent is dark but the bottom edge all the way around is not as dark do it does let a muted light through. I do not see gaps in the seems and the rain cover fits well. The one issue I have is that the doors (2) do not zip along the bottom. The screen on the doors do but the bottom of the waterproof material stays open, though velcroed down, for improved air circulation. I think that if it was raining heavily, water could easily splash in. Also, this tent feels fairly light weight. I would not stay in it in windy conditions. I do have heavy duty tent stakes that I intend to use instead of the small ones that come with the tent. I got them at Wal-Mart for about $1 each. It's a great little tent. Super easy to put up I'm a 5 ft woman and had it up in about 3 minutes. The instructions aren't the best by a long shot but you don't really need them. The toughest part is folding in back up. That took me a good 10 minutes by myself. I can't say how great it does in rain or any thing. The weather was great when I used it. The fabric is pretty thin and seem kind of light but idk. Not super heavy but I wouldn't want to pack it a mile. It's a nice tent for casual use ... show more

It’s probably not a bad deal for the money, seeing as similar dark room tents are 50%+ more expensive, but I returned mine as it wasn’t what I was looking for. Tent material is thin and probably wouldn’t have held up to my abuse (which I don’t think is too harsh. I’m just a regular camper. One of the zippers also had too much waterproofing tape tape sew into it, so it was impossible to open the door flap. Over cut in production? I didn’t put it to a real world tests, but it did seem to be very dark when I set it up in my living room. And it was fairly easy to set up! Though the rain fly was tricky, cause it’s like… just the right size. I guess that could be good thing? Good if it’s what’s your looking for. But I wasn’t buying a blackout tent for just good. I think there’s better $100 tents out there. ... show more

It is for the most part water proof. I loved that it blacks out everything. We did actually wind up in a torrential rain storm and if we had been on flatter surface I think the water would not have gotten in. I love this tent, one of my favorites.

Light weight and easy to set up BUT a design flaw allows the tent to leak. It rained off and on 2 of the 3 nights we camped. There is a 2 sided window tie up cord that runs through the tent located under the window. The rain water collects on that cord on the outside of the tent. The water then travels along the cord to the inside of the tent. I purchased the tent in mid May for a July 4th camping trip. Amazon says I’m 2 weeks past my return date and refused to help. BUT OUTDOOR MASTER made it right. They apologized and made Amazon refund me. That’s customer service. Take notes Amazon. If camping in a dry area, this tent would be awesome. Good tent. Quick pop up . Thick material kept out the moisture and most importantly the morning sun . Big fit a queen mattress and had room to stand in and change/ camp storage.
