We bought four of these helmets for the family as we were going caving and wanted to protect our heads as we spelunked through the treacherous beginner and intermediate caves :) That being said, these worked great, having the two different removable liners ensured that we got the best snug (but not too tight) fit on each of our heads. Sizes ran true to the chart, though it’s strange that size large is recommended for all head sizes. We ignored that and went off the chart and all got a helmet that fit very well. On the positive, these held up well after the cleaning that is necessary when you come out of caves to avoid spreading anything to other caves in the future. We also had some minor head taps and other than hearing it, didn’t feel anything and no marks were left on the helmet (or cave). ... show more

Needed an XL and for someone that has long locs, it fits nice! I did have to take out the padding except the forehead padding for a more comfortable fit but it works! Feel supported!

I mean I know my head is big but damn. I measured it and though a Large would fit, but the Large is really tight. Otherwise it's hard which is good.
