I bought this Outdoor Ventures light Weight Rain Jacket for winter weather and light travel, and I’ve been pleasantly surprised by how well it performs. It’s completely fleece-lined but still feels lightweight and easy to move in, which I really appreciate. I tested it in light snow and rain, and it kept me warm and dry the entire time. One of my favorite features is the two-way zipper. It sounds small, but it makes a huge difference when you’re getting in and out of the car or sitting for a while — you can unzip the bottom for extra room and comfort, or add a scarf around your neck and lower the top zipper to make the outfit more chic. The hood adjusts nicely, the sleeve openings are adjustable to keep out the cold, and the pockets are roomy enough for phone, keys, and gloves. The fit is flattering without being bulky, and the longer length gives great coverage on windy or chilly days. I sized up so I could layer underneath for upcoming travel, and yet pinch in the waist to give me shape and it was the right choice. Overall, this jacket is warm, practical, and well-designed. I’m very happy with it and would definitely buy it again.

Just do yourself a favor & order this jacket - now! No kidding - it is the PERFECT jacket! It zips & snaps up the front; it has pockets outside & inside that both zip closed to keep things secured; the length is great as it comes down to mid-thigh; it fits well & looks awesome whether you're needing to dress up a bit or just going casual; the sleeves can velcro to tighten at the wrist; the color selections are great; if you're worried the hood is too big, it's not - it was unobtrusive, but perfect when needed on a windy day; it has an integrated lightweight fleece lining; it is very attractive on. I wasn't sure about sizing, but a Medium fit perfectly for me @ 5'2", 147 lbs. I have not yet worn it on a rainy day, but the tag said it is waterproof &, at this point, I have no reason to doubt that statement because everything else about this jacket was "spot-on." Some reviews indicated some sort of "medallion" on the front of their jackets, but mine did NOT have anything of the sort. Medium gray is a great neutral, but I like this jacket so much, I may order another in a brighter color. Last but not least - for a jacket of this quality, the price is a steal! Could not be happier.

This is a GREAT jacket. It very much reminds me of a Columbia fleece-lined rain jacket that I got on sale years ago (which I wore out until almost threadbare years ago) and haven't been able to find a similar one since for a good price. While this doesn't have some of the bells and whistles that my old jacket had (thumb holes, more inner pockets, etc) this is REALLY close, and I love that it's a bit longer. The microfleece is good quality. It also has a double zipper that my old jacket didn't have. I usually go between L-XL (larger bust). I went with the XL because I like to layer-- and this had a decent amount of room without feeling oversized. But, I could have probably done one size smaller. I tested this out the same day I got it because it was windy and a bit cold-- I didn't have any layers underneath and it feel nicely warm. I have high hopes for this! The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I haven't had the ability to try it in rainy weather. I would be happy to change it to five stars if a rainy day comes along and it works out-- I have full confidence and am not worried about since it feels the same to my old jacket (which often kept me nicely dry) The other reason I gave it one less star is for my only complaint about this jacket is where the outer pockets are placed. This could be a matter of having sized up slightly (not sure though). I feel like they sit a little too low. I'm short and have shorter arms. I like my pockets to be at (more or less) elbow/waist height. These start at around my hips/upper thigh and run almost the length of the bottom half of the jacket. They are big pockets, so I can't complain too much. But, still, I would love to just rest my hands in there while walking around and that's not really possible with this cut. Still, good quality jacket at a decent price.

Love this soft-shell! Bought for a trip to England and Scotland in May. While it was never raining hard, we did have misty days and this jacket kept me warm and dry. Love that it has "pulls" on the sides so you can cinch it in for a more feminine look. It has two large zippered pockets on the outside and two large pockets inside. I carried my phone, gloves, foldable shopping bag, sunglasses, and mini-umbrella in the pockets: no need for a purse! It also has a little extra length than most jackets. Lots of thoughtful details. Only quibble: the tab on the inside to hang it up over a hook came off after a week. I'm 5'5", 135 pounds and bought a medium. Fit great with room for a fleece sweater underneath. All in all, a great jacket!

Wow, better than expected! It’s remarkably difficult to find something comfortable and flattering in a size 24W. This raincoat/jacket is my new favorite thing. Perfectly proportioned. Gorgeous color. Sleeves are right. Shoulders are right. Zipper and snaps are functional and well made. Hood fits and when it’s zipped all the way up the hood actually stays on without interfering with line of sight. The inside pockets are super deep, so they’re not freely accessible but they will definitely deter pickpockets. The outside pockets are well placed and comfortable - I love that they zip shut. I’m 5’10” and the XXXL is the perfect length. It’s going to be my go-to jacket this fall in Europe, for sure. Happy me.

So, I’m somewhere between giving 3 and 4 stars. I’ve had this jacket for about a month now. It’s comfortable and keeps me warm. Dry sometimes. I purchased it because I wanted a longer rain jacket for when I walk my dogs. Majority of the time it’s been great but if I’m walking for a while in heavier rain I usually end up wet. The material on the outside of the jacket tends to absorb the water. The jacket will change colors as it absorbs and does become heavy. Once the jacket is wet, it takes a while to dry and of course, it shouldn’t be thrown in the dryer so it makes it hard to wear, get wet and then want to put on again to go back out. It offers great coverage. I’m not actually sure where the water leaks through. It always ends up being my upper back side that’s wet. I don’t think it’s the front zipper. Today I was wet through the waist. The jacket does seem to be well made in the sense that I don’t see it falling apart or having trouble with zippers or tearing seams. So in the end, if you’re walking in short durations in the rain, in light rain, this jackets fine. If you plan to use it in heavy rain, maybe not. If you want quick drying fabric, don’t purchase this jacket.I also wouldn’t consider it lightweight. I ordered a medium. I’m 5’4” and 135lbs, with an athletic build. I think this fits. I used the strings at the waist to cinch the middle a bit. So there’s room if you’re a little heavier.
