Description

Whether wearing them on their own or layering underneath a burlier glove, a pair of the Waterproof Liners will always find a place on your packing list. The first of their kind, the Waterproof Liners are complete with must-have details like touchscreen-compatible fingertips, a pull-on loop, and silicone grip palm and fingers. Rest assured, you'll want to have these liners in your emergency kit when the weather forecast is taking a turn for the worse. At Outdoor Research, we think that life gets better the minute we step out the door on a new adventure, no matter how big or small. We learn about ourselves, each other, and the environment every time we get out. We come home a little wiser and stronger. We see the world more clearly, and that compels us to treat it better. More than anything, we’re convinced that if we inspire more people to get outside, the world will be a better place. In 1981, a brilliant scientist and adventurer named Ron Gregg watched his frostbitten partner get airlifted off a glacier on Denali. He'd spent months planning a new route in the purest style, skiing 100 miles from the road to the base of the climb. Barely halfway to the summit, their trip ended with the failure of a simple pair of gaiters. Stubborn to the end, Ron refused a seat on the helicopter and descended alone for two weeks, pondering what had happened. Somewhere along the way, he realized he could both fix the gear problem and devote his life to pursuing his passion for adventure. By the end, he knew one thing for sure: He wasn't going back to his old job.

  • Pretty good
These are great do-it-all gloves, aside from typing on a phone without taking them off haha- the touch feature doesn’t work. But otherwise I’m super happy with em!

  • Best liners that I have found!!! And I LOOKED
Color: Black Size: Medium
I don't know why there aren't more people reviewing these gloves! I bought these as a 20-40 degree ski glove that can be used as a liner in my Burton mittens. First off let me say that thanks to Amazons awesome return policy I have tried out gloves from Oakley 94327 Men's Factory Park Glove, HEAD Men's Ultrafit Touchscreen Running Gloves, NEFF Men's Daily Glove, Burton Men's Lightweight Spectre Glove, and a bunch of other off brand ones. I really liked the Oakley and Head gloves, they both have great construction and a microflece lining that is quite warm. However, none of the gloves that I mentioned were even close to waterproof. I ski in Arizona so our snow turns to slush quickly and I wanted something that would keep me at least a little dry. Enter the "Outdoor Research Waterproof Glove Liners" Out of the package I said to my wife that there was NO WAY these were even water resistant... so I pulled them on (the pull loop is awesome for this) and held my hand under running water in the sink for 2 minutes. Bone Dry on the inside!!! So, how do they do on the slopes? It was 26 deg. and a bit windy this last weekend. The fleece lining and wind-stopping capabilities of these were great. I didn't once put on my mittens and my hands were perfectly fine. I can't speak for the tech side of using a phone with them because I don't take mine with me (I like to unplug when I'm out). Overall, I am more than satisfied with these and even though they are on the pricey side I feel that they are well worth the investment. If you are looking for a great liner that fits snug and can be used as a mid-weather glove you should definitely try these out. ... show more

  • Absolutely NOT Waterproof! An outright falsehood from Outdoor Research! I expected better...
Color: Black Size: X-Large
I purchased these for a long (4100 mile) motorcycle ride knowing there was high potential for a rainy day or two. I was correct in my assumption, but confident in my planning having purchased these gloves as a base layer under my regular gloves (which are a bit on the large side). My confidence was shattered 30 minutes into the expected rainy day as my hands became soaked and cold (low 50s that day); thankfully I have heated grips. When I stopped at the next gas station, it took them off and literally wrung the water out of them; they were soaked through and utterly useless. For the record, rain was not coming in from the backside, as my other rain gear (jacket sleeve) covered the gap. Fortunately the gas station was a full service truck stop and they carried some cheap $14 waterproof general purpose gloves that got me through the rest of what turned out to be a very wet day. Of course, I bought these things in early August in preparation for late September ride, so the first time I had a chance to test them in the rain was the afore-mentioned rainy day which was after the return window. $54 does not an inexpensive glove make and at that price they should have done far better! I will never purchase from Outdoor Research again and I will advise anyone else to avoid them as well. ... show more

  • They work great for my needs
I wear these when I am out with my dog in the wet snow. Usually throwing gross muddy toys, dealing with dog slobber, cold water, etc. and my hands always stay dry. I've even used them once or twice picking up my duck decoys in icy water and they kept the hands dry. My hands were cold, but I was dry. So I will most likely start using them as a liner in my PVC gloves when duck hunting from now on. My only critique would be that I wish these gloves were a little more form fitting. ... show more

  • Not bad
Not too bad. I have dunked them in water but have used them in wet conditions and stayed dry. I actually bought them to duck hunt in. They have held up well so far. The part I don’t like is that their iPhone sensitivity is nil to non existent. I am not able to use my iPhone with these gloves still on as they are advertised to do. ... show more

  • Great windproof/waterproof line
Color: Black Size: Medium
These gloves are a great lightweight winter glove for places like colorado. It blocks wind and moisture very well. It is a bit more stiff than a regular liner but they keep your heat in even if it is windy. Regular liners are just about worthless in Colorado due to the wind.

  • As described
Color: Black Size: Medium
Great warmth and water protection, however, the touch screen option doesn’t work so well with my tempered glass screen protector. I’m not knocking the gloves for that as it was only a secondary feature to me.
