  • • Lightweight, wind resistant gloves that pass all but one test
Color: black Size: Large
Outdoor Research (OR) products are one of my preferred brands for outerwear. I own several of their products—jackets, caps, and wide brim sun hats. These are my first pair of OR gloves. These gloves are lightweight, “sensor” gloves that are intended for moderate temperature conditions and light use situations, e.g, cold weather driving, walking, running, and biking. The lightweight material suggests that it would be inadequate for heavier use, e.g. snow shoveling, yard work, or lifting heavy objects, as these forceful activities would likely stretch and tear the exterior fabric. The exterior fabric is somewhat slippery and has a spongy texture that repels rain and snow, but the gloves by themselves are not waterproof. The interior fleece material promotes and maintains warmth. I’ve used these gloves during brisk walks with temperatures falling into the 30’s (ºF), and I believe that runners would also find these useful during activities when temperatures fall well below freezing. During windy conditions I was pleasantly surprised to discover that my hands stayed warm even though my arms and legs did not. The material is “breathable” and appears to wick away moisture from hands and out of the gloves. Unlike other gloves I’ve used, moisture build-up did not occur during some brisk walks of several miles. This is definitely a desirable feature and prevents the uncomfortable experience of cold hands caused by saturated gloves. These gloves promote a snug fit, and selecting the correct size is important to maintain the finger “dexterity” of the product. Fortunately, there is also some stretch to the fabric in case your hand is somewhere in-between two sizes. I would advise against arbitrarily up-sizing as this choice could result in a looseness that allows cold air to enter inside and a bunching of the fabric at the wrists. As mentioned earlier, the fabric is somewhat slippery, but the addition of silicone strips on the palms allows these gloves to grip steering wheels and hold things that might otherwise easily slip through your hands. These are “sensor” gloves which are designed to be used with touch-screen technology. I’ve used these gloves with the multimedia interface and navigation systems of my car and did not experience a problem in making choices. The finger tip pads are relatively wide and will easily activate any area that is touched or swiped. Unfortunately, the same touch screen, ease-of-use can not be said about smart watch devices. While swiping will work, closely spaced buttons can not be pressed individually. The finger pads are too wide to select small area button choices, and you will need to remove a glove and use a finger. ... show more

  • Nice and cozy
Color: black Size: Medium
Perfect at keeping my hands warm but also being able to function. I can get into my pockets and hold my dog's leash firmly without having to take them off.

  • Balanced glove
Color: black Size: Large
These gloves are the right balance of warm and functional. I mean actually warm not "just can barely still feel my fingers warm" you get with thin gloves. The windproof back takes the bite out of cold windy days but the gloves aren't so thick that I can't manipulate my car keys. The only reason they are not a 5 is that I wish they were stretchier but I think that's just a limit of fabric technology. ... show more

  • Great fit.
Color: Coyote Size: Large
I did not like the color at first but when worn they looked okay. Gift recipient liked them. The fit was perfect.

  • Decent gloves
Color: black Size: Medium
I like the gloves because you are able to retain some dexterity to fumble with keys etc but they seem to fit slightly loose around the fingers. I tried on the same exact pair at the store, but got them on amazon for less. Probly should have gone with the store pair as these seem like defective gloves at a discount. The pinky is misshaped on one hand and they seem looser around the fingers compared to the ones at the store. ... show more

  • My constant glove
Color: Coyote Size: X-Large
Love these gloves. Yeah some people complain about the grip pads coming off, but they're not meant for heavy duty anything, they're like a lightweight driving glove but perfect for minimal cold weather & phone use. Cool color - looks good with brown leather shoes or boots etc...

  • Best gloves I've ever had!
Color: black Size: Small
They completely block the wind, are form-fitting allowing good dexterity, and the touch sensors work perfectly. The wrists are tight, which is nice once you get your hands in.
