I put this together and plugged it in the garage for the cats. It does not get as warm as a regular heating pad that is set for level 2. It has soft fabric, a little stiff. It appears to be well made. The cord is very short.

These are very nice heating pads for smaller dogs. The temperature self-regulates so that my small dog is comfortable while resting on it, without worrying that she might overheat. This is the second pad I've purchased, the first having lasted several years before being damaged (by me, accidentally). My dog seems to be happy with it, which is probably the best recommendation I can give. ... show more

The product title says “outdoor” multiple times, but the pamphlet that came with the product clearly states that this is for indoor use ONLY and can’t get wet or be in/near moisture.
