Very easy to use. Includes the gasket to put between the cords. Place the gasket over the cord end onto the plug prongs. Open the Clamshell fitting and insert the cord end and close. repeat with other half on other cord. Make sure the cord ends will fit into the smaller half. Screw the two halves together. Set/place the cord where it is best protected. This is not waterproof (do not submerge in water), but will keep rain/snow etc. out of the connection.
