I have several extension cords that I use when doing projects around the house or even at work. I purchased this three-pong outdoor extension cord to use for lighted Christmas decorations during the holiday season, and for yard work the rest of the year. I live in Florida, so there is no shortage of yard work. During December, I have had three Christmas light setups plugged into this thing all month, and it worked perfectly. The 40 ft length is a good distance, and extends far enough from my house to plug in multiple tools, like my corded weed eater and edger. The cord itself is thick, and feels to be of good quality. I expect this item to be very durable, and hold up well over the summer season. Also, I like that it came with the velcro cord holder to carry and store it. Received this 3-prong extension cord to use in my outside decorations for the Holidays. It is simple and works exactly the way you want an extender with three plugs to function. I had no need for the extra cable ties that came with it, but I have used similar items in the past to weave cords together when bundling together and running them through my garage or workshop, so it's a nice touch. The cord is solid and feels durable. Maybe a little lighter than previous 3-prong cords from a big box store, but I'm not running anything heavy-duty, and it will not be used in a heavy machinery area or construction zone, so there's no concern over its durability. The main thing to say about this extension cord is that it seems very well built, and very strong. I fully believe I could run over it with my car and the 3 outlets would probably be fine. They feel solid like a brick. I’ve used this to connect some of my outdoor holiday decorations so far, and it runs across my garage. There is no problem with my car running over the cord or anything. I like that it’s black, so it’s not visible for my holiday decorations, though I suppose you might want a brighter color if you “need” to see if for safety (e.g. electric lawn mower, etc. ), but the black is nice when you want it to be invisible. It came with a Velcro strap to keep it tidy when coiled up, as well as several zip ties. I’m not sure what the zip ties are for, but I guess it’s nice to have them. Maybe if you want to semi-permanently strap the cord down somewhere? Although its sturdy for outdoor use, I don’t believe it’s water resistant (at the plugs), so I wouldn’t leave it out in the rain without covering the outlets with something (like for holiday decorations). The best part for me is the finger holds for unplugging the respective ends from either the power source or the (in our case) the lights. The quality of the cord was very good. This cord has a very nice durable jacket but is still fairly flexible. The flush-mount plug end is nice to reduce bulk at the outlet. The triple outlet ports are high quality. I'm not going to test it, but it feels like you could run over it with a car and not damage it. The outlet ports allow for solid, secure contact with whatever you are plugging in.
