I had an old spiral tree. It was the kind that had individual lights on it. Over a year or two they seem to be rather delicate. I decided to switch to this type of tree with rope lights. So very much better! I now have two in my front yard. They stand up well to the weather and they look great. The media could not be loaded. I not only love how beautiful this tree is, but I love all of its options. The remote supplies a generous amount of choices for customizing the lighting modes and functions. It has a timer feature, which is great, but I generally schedule all of my holiday lighting to come on at specific times, so it's nice that I can turn the timer option off on the remote in order to keep everything running within the same time frame. I love how sturdy this tree is. Assembly was quick and easy. I can tell that it is going to hold up longer than the other lighted trees that I've purchased in the past. I placed my tree on the front porch. I did have to weigh it down with a sandbag, but that is to be expected with most types of outdoor decor. If I choose to place it on the lawn, some stakes were included to do so. The lighting options are great. A number of color choices are available to coordinate with your specific color theme or holiday. I could easily cover the star with something and use it as a Halloween decoration. The possibilities are endless! The mode options are great, too! Some of the mode choices are flash, fade, strobe, and jump. The only thing I don't like is the remote and mode switch on the actual tree. Okay, so, the remote can be fickle. There is a slight delay on changing the modes. I do have it placed on my covered porch next to the door, so I'm able to switch up colors and modes through the glass, but I'm not sure how well it would do at a farther distance. Also, the mode selector on the tree needs to stay covered in the plastic bag. It looks ugly, but it preserves the mode selector from being damaged. My overall opinion of the tree is that I do like it, but I can also see areas where improvement could be made. I plan on keeping it on my covered porch. I'm uncertain as to how well it will operate if I were to place it on my lawn. ... show more

    • Sturdy without tie downs. Easy to assemble.
I love these trees. They are easy to assemble and the brightness is great. The only down side I can say is when opening and pulling out the trees many of the zip ties used to tie down the lights to the frame were sharp and jagged. I got cut and poked a few times while removing the trees. I had to cut nearly every zip tie because of this. Otherwise it's a great product. ... show more

Hoping to get replaced as the silver bottom parts are breaking as the item is being taken out of the box. Quality is not the best for the expensive price. But the lights re nice.

Ordered 2 of them. One was missing a spring but had an extra spring and tightening screw in a bag so that was fine. The other one had no extra parts. The instructions are not very helpful. The springs are an interesting idea to help it hold up in weather. I wish it ran on a regular plug and I didn't need to buy a separate power strip for outdoors that had USB ports ... show more
