I was looking for a way to measure my sleep and activity without having the discomfort of a smart watch on my wrist all night, taking into account that I already have an apple watch I wanted to follow my metrics and sometimes this one was a little sporty for more formal outings and this ring was the perfect solution. It's super light, you get used to the few hours. What I like the most is the precision with which it analyzes the rest; the application explains very clearly how your sleep influences the energy of the next day. The battery gives me perfectly for about 5 days and charges very quickly. A key point: I recommend using the size kit before ordering it, since the fingers swell a little at night, if you are indecisa between the tightest size and the one that fits you looser I recommend the tightest believe me this ring does not compare to the plastic of the kit and it will be perfect. It is very true to the size which surprised me my size corresponds to the same that I use for traditional rings. Although it requires a monthly subscription to see all the detailed data, I have met details specifically of my body that I didn't even know for me it has been totally worth it for the comfort and discretion it offers. Aesthetically it looks beautiful and goes with everything! I bought the silver because I usually use silver accessories and it has been the best decision, one thing that I don't like so much is that it scratches easily I am a full-time housewife and in household chores in less than a month I already had several scratches but they are not visible to the naked eye. I can honestly say the Oura Ring 5 exceeded my expectations. It’s one of those products that’s actually worth the hype. The design is beautiful and incredibly comfortable—I often forget I’m even wearing it. The battery life is excellent, the app is intuitive, and the insights go far beyond simple step counting. Sleep tracking has been incredibly detailed, and I love waking up to a complete picture of my recovery, readiness, heart rate, stress, and overall health. One feature that truly stands out is Pregnancy Insights. As someone using it throughout pregnancy, it’s been amazing to see how my body changes over time. Tracking trends like resting heart rate, body temperature, sleep quality, and recovery has given me a much better understanding of what my body is experiencing. Of course, it’s not a medical device, but it’s been an incredibly valuable wellness companion during this journey. I also appreciate how the recommendations feel personalized instead of generic. The ring has actually encouraged me to prioritize sleep and recovery, which has made a noticeable difference in how I feel day to day. I love this ring! It is my first Oura ring so I can't compare it to other generation rings. So far I am loving it. It tracks things very well. My sleep, my stress levels, my activity, my steps. And much more importantly still learning about. I did have to exchange for a smaller size. So if you are in between sizes and you feel as if the bigger size is too loose when your cold or your finger aren't swollen, definitely go for the smaller size. You want it snug. It tracks really well when snug. So far the battery life is holding strong for only 5 days, can and will definitely go longer. I wouldn't recommend wearing it if you go to the gym and lift heavy weights. If you do, definitely get a cover for it. It is very comfortable, totally different from the sizer rings. For sure not a MUST have but it is a great addition to everyday life if you are wanting to track more things and start learning more about your body. ... show more

As someone obsessed with health metrics (I have health anxiety!!!), I love the Oura Ring 5. I have wanted one since they first came out but as someone with small hands and skinny fingers, the big bulky previous generation Oura's were NOT for me. I love how thin the band is on the new Oura. See my attached picture for reference. It is comfortable to wear, and I'm saying that as someone who has never wanted to wear rings because they overstimulate me while driving, kayaking, etc. I like how you can wear it constantly although when I shower, I let it charge. I also take it off when I do my skincare because I don't want to cause unnessescary wear or buildup on the sensors. I do a lot of water activities in the summer with my kids so I'm grateful that it is water resistance for up to 100 meters (~330 feet). The app is a little overwhelming at first but you get used to it pretty quickly in my opinion. My only advice? SIZE UP! I bought the 6 at first because my ring size is 4.5 but it was too small on my index finger. I ended up returning and ordering the 7 and it fits perfect. I did not buy the sizing kit (oops!) but I recommend doing that and wearing it for a few days. :) All in all, a 10/10 purchase. So I basically paid over $400 for a little silver ring to tell me when I’m stressed, when I slept like crap, when I need to recover, and apparently that my heart is 8 YEARS YOUNGER than me 😂 Honestly, that alone made me feel like the purchase was worth it. I got the Oura Ring 5 in silver, size 6, and I really do love it. The silver is beautiful and looks like a regular piece of jewelry, which I like because I didn’t want anything bulky or super obvious. What surprised me the most is how much this little ring tracks. It tracks literally every little detail, sleep, heart rate, stress, recovery, activity, readiness, temperature trends, and so much more. I didn’t think I would care about half of this stuff until I started seeing my own data, and now I check the app every morning like I’m waiting for medical test results 😂 The sleep tracking is probably one of my favorite features. It has made me realize how much my sleep actually affects everything else. I also love the stress tracking because somehow this ring knows I’m stressed before I even admit that I’m stressed. Very disrespectful, but accurate lol. And then it told me my cardiovascular age was 8 years younger than my actual age?! Excuse me?? 😂 That made my entire day. I was walking around like okayyy healthy queen. The size 6 fits me well. Sometimes it feels a little snug when my fingers swell, but overall it’s comfortable and I barely notice it. I wear it basically all day, including in the shower, and the battery has been good so far. Is it expensive? YES. Is paying for a membership after spending that much on the ring slightly offensive? Also yes 😂 But I actually use it every single day, and it has made me much more aware of my sleep, stress, recovery, and overall health. I had the Oura Ring 4 and after almost a year and a half, it started to not hold a charge for more than a couple of days. I ordered the sizing kit and then ordered the ring in size 12 Stealth (keep in mind the sizing on the Oura Ring 5 is different than it is for the Oura Ring 4, so if you're upgrading, you do need to order the sizing kit (which is credited towards the purchase of the Oura 5). The new ring seems more accurate and precise, it's much smaller which makes it more comfortable than the 4. I also feel that the all titanium construction is more robust than the last version. I bought the Stealth version and after a couple of weeks it's showing no signs of any scratches. I also think it looks better, I wore the 4 on my right index finger and that's the same finger I'm wearing the 5 on. It looks better and, again, is more comfortable. This is an expensive solution for a ring but it's discreet, has seems to be able to read more vitals, and is more accurate. It seems to communicate with the app on my iPhone with more frequent updates. The battery life is fantastic, I got seven full days on a charge. I'm about to take a two week road trip and I also bought the charging case I'm pretty confident that I'll be covered. ... show more

Update: still a good purchase and works well. However, if you are sensitive to light at night, it will wake you up lol. From time to time, red and green lights flash from the inside of the ring. It is bright at night. Especially if you happen to move your hand near your face, it’s like someone is pointing a flashlight at you. I bought this to track my sleep which was not great before, but now I have another thing disturbing my sleep. I still give it 5 stars because it is a good smart device, but that light is killing me. 😆 So far so good. I was worried that the shiny finish was going to be a magnet for scratches, but after a week of continuous use, it has held up very well. The features are fairly similar to my Apple Watch, but I only wear that while out. Having a longer battery life and being relatively comfortable to wear has allowed me to track things that I didn’t track before such as sleep. Also, the other morning I woke up feeling extra tired. When I looked at the app it said I was showing serious signs of strain and to rest. I felt exhausted all day so it was very accurate in sensing that something was off. It has taken some getting used to because I don’t wear much jewelry and I certainly do not wear any to sleep. I am very aware that it is on in the middle of the night and find myself switching it around. So far, I really love my ring. I use it every single day and night and it appears to be quite accurate. I wanted it to primarily track my sleep and stress but it does so much more than that. Every morning, I wake up and I'm excited to check out my insights so that I can see how well rested I truly am. I like that it tells you how fast you fall asleep and the different sleep cycles you go through. I also enjoy that it shows when you're stressed but it differentiates between post exertional stress and just regular stress. I feel like the battery life has been great so far. I charge it maybe once a week for like 25 minutes. I usually throw it on the charger when it goes below 40 percent and usually end up taking it off around 80 percent or so because I don't want to do anything without it. The step counter is definitely different than what my watch shows. It seems like it doesn't count all of my steps. My one issue is that there are no half sizes for the ring. It's a little loose on my ring finger but ever so slightly too snug for my pointer finger. A size up or down didn't help me unfortunately. ... show more
