My previous Otterbox cover had a smooth, shiny surface & was very pretty; however, it was always slipping out of my pocket & landing on the floor. I was totally amazed that the screen never cracked, especially landing on a hard surface!!! That just proved how good the quality is of the Otterbox. I like the rose color I have now.
