While i haven't dropped my phone yet, I expect this case to work at least as well as the similarly designed Incipio cases I've had for may past few phones. This case is as appears in picture but is super slippery. The edges are not very high and did not save my phone when it dropped. First, I would like to mention that I love Otterbox products, and their customer service is phenomenal. I've bought Otterbox cases in the past for many devices, including my husband's iphone, tablets, etc. Over the last 10 years, I've had to switch to another brand, due to the fact that Otterbox doesn't seem to cater to Samsung devices, of late. After reading hundreds of 4 and 5 star reviews on the Otterbox Symmetry Series for the Samsung S22 Ultra, I thought I'd give Otterbox a try again. Unfortunately, this Symmetry Series offers very little protection and will have to be returned. If you're looking for a pretty pink case, and don't mind zero screen protection...then this is the case for you. If you're looking to not only protect the BACK of your phone, but also the actual glass screen, please think twice before purchasing, because the screen on the S22 Ultra is HIGHER than the actual edge of the case. I've attached photos to help. I'm honestly a little shocked, so I reached out to Otterbox customer service to see if this was normal, or perhaps I received a defective case. The representative was very kind and knowledgeable, but said that this is normal for the Symmetry cases, due to the Samsung curved screen. She said that the Symmetry series will protect the BACK of the phone, but NOT the front glass. This is truly disheartening. What is the point of this case then? My frustration is this: if other companies design and produce functional cases and screen protectors for Samsung devices, than why can't Otterbox? It seems like they don't want to listen to their customers. We are TRYING to give good feedback, and TRYING to give you our business/money. In the future, PLEASE consider designing a case for your Samsung customers, which offers either a raised edge to protect the screen...and/or...design a new series of cases which would include the built in screen protector. I know you used to offer these, because I had one many years ago. While I DO understand that some customers were taking them off and using their own screen protectors, there's also a huge amount of people who have "jumped ship" due to this very thing. Wouldn't Otterbox like to have all of these customers BACK? It seems silly to lose customers over something so trivial to fix. I also realize that Otterbox sells screen protectors, which would protect the glass from scratches. However, this still wouldn't fix the issue of the case sitting lower than the screen. One drop, and the screen would crack, as I've read in other 1 star reviews. I'm hoping to see more Samsung cases in the future, but for now I'll have to go back to the brand I've used on all of my Samsung Notes. Thank you for listening. The Pros: 1. Pretty Pink Color 2. Sleek, Minimal Design/No bulkiness 3. Antimicrobial The Cons: 1. Front of Phone - The edges of the case aren't raised to protect the glass. Your S22 Ultra phone screen is raised beyond the edge of the case, which offers zero protection. If you drop the phone, there's a high probability that the screen may crack. 2. Back of phone - The edges around the camera lenses are raised somewhat, but could be a little higher to offer more protection. 3. Thin plastic material, with no rubber protection, like the Otterbox Defender Series offers. 4. A bit slippery ... show more
