I bought this nine months ago. Last week I left my iPad on my car and it slid off en route to my destination. I was probably going 20 mph when it slid off. It was returned to me in perfect condition, both iPad and case. The cover separated from the case on impact but was easily re-attached. Not a mark on the iPad or even visible damage to the case. I am sold! In general this case fits my 1st generation iPad perfectly. It is lightweight and comfortable to use. I am not thrilled that the volume controls and the off switch must be accessed through rubber buttons built into the case but it is a small price to pay for the protection and comfort of this case. Can’t recommend it enough.

It's an amazing case I can easily find my iPad on our dark furniture and it doesn't add too much bulk nor weight to my iPad. I've always been a huge tri-folio type of iPad case and this has captured that awesome experience very well. I particularly love how there's no left side Apple Pencil holder like many other cases have, which I have always strongly disliked as a right handed person and specially with the newer Apple Pencil 2nd generation and Apple Pencil Pro having magnetic charging. The only issue I've found so far with this case is the pull out Apple Pencil holder. I understand it's difficult to make a good design to securely hold the Apple Pencil, which you've definitely done best at in this case; however, I find it is a bit weak and I've accidentally pulled the piece out of the tracks on the back before. My dad was able to use a mallet to get it back in without damaging the case, but now I cannot hold my iPad in my right hand like I used to on the right side knowing that's how the incident happened. If it's possible to improve on the strength of this piece, I think this is one of the best cases I've used to date and I believe I'll be using it for years to come as my iPad Pro is my daily driver till I upgrade.

Glad I got this for my iPad. Perfect size, weight with great protection. Update: Have had this case for nine months now, and still love it. Perfect blend of form and function. I don't drop my iPad, or haven't yet, so it hasn't been put to the test, but it has been thrown in travel bag, dragged around the country, and my iPad is good as new. Did put a glass protector on. Love the style and feel of the case. Not bulky like the Defender, which I use on my iPhone which takes a lot more abuse. And use the front cover for stand all the time, and works great in both positions (by simply turning around iPad depending on angle needed). No change...still 5 stars.

This case is installed on my personal iPad pro that I use on a daily basis. I chose this case because it seemed like a compromise between the rugged, bulky cases you see and the ultra slim, yet minimally protective cases available. It's not the easiest to remove once you have it installed but also has no wiggle or play. It does have room for a tempered glass screen protector which I'm using. I've been using it daily for about 4 months now and have a couple observations and suggestions for a second version if they make one. 1. It would be really helpful to add magnets or something to hold the folio flap to the back of the case when opened. I've taken little strips of velcro so when I fold back the flap, it sticks to the rear surface. Doesn't look pretty but is functional. 2. The magnets that hold the flap down when closed are HUGE! This is sort of a bonus because it lets the iPad actually stick to most magnetic surfaces when the flap is folded back and held in place by my previously mentioned velcro mod. This is very functional for when I need to attach it a surface such as a magnetic whiteboard or refrigerator. 3. Find some other way of attaching the Apple Pencil to the case than a little elastic loop. It works, but has loosened to where the Pencil twists and shifts around, making it awkward to carry sometimes. Overall, I am still very happy with this case and have recommended it to family members who need one.

This is by far the best case scenario I almost didn’t b;Yu it because of the poor rating, but in the end I thought I’d chance it. This case gives me everything I was looking for, and so much more. I have tried and returned many cases as well as purchasing a few like the Zulu case and the case from paper note. They are both quite heavy but this case is considerably lighter, as well as thinner with equal protection. Weight was an issue. Also the ability to charge my Apple Pencil. I really liked the Zulu case but the pencil wouldn’t charge. Most of the others had a dedicated groove for the pencil but if I didn’t need to bring my pencil it still took up a wider profile. Toni’s OtterBox has a simple elegant solution. The pencil holding mechanism extends out if you want to carry it with you but if you don’t, it recedes back so you have a clean, non bulging silhouette. And unlike the naysayer review stated, it slides in and out easily. The cover is secure but slipping a fingernail under the cover adjacent to the pencil slot makes it easy to flip it up and over. And when it’s in the back, the magnets keep it from flopping over. Lastly and most importantly, the buttons are flush to the edge of the frame. This is huge because zi dropped my iPad and it landed on the raised button, which essentially destroyed it. Fortunately I have AppleCare so it was replaced for a minimal fee. If not I would have been out of a very sizable sum. All in all, this is the best case imaginable, for me. Couldn’t be any happier. 5 stars is highly inadequate. Even 10 stars pales.

Pencil slide came off first week. Folded cover doesn’t hold the weight of the iPad; hence, it will get worse and worse and not hold it upright or at an angle. Disappointed. Prob should be 2 stars.

I had this case for a few years and loved it til it finally broke. I reordered this item from the exact listing as before, and the item is different. The parts of the cover, where you can fold it to use as a stand, are different sizes than before, and does not function. If I try and use this as intended, and slight movement or pressure causes the stand to fail. This is frustrating because I use my iPad for work, and now will need to find something else that works. If you compare my uploaded photo to the listing photo, you will see that my item is different.

Excellent fit to my fourth generation iPad Pro 12.9. Best case that I have encountered for clever pencil drawer that doesn’t interfere with the general usage of the iPad. Very sturdy magnetic “triangle“ formed as a base.
