I'm a certified klutz and even with a poppit I drop every phone I've ever owned. This case does the job well. I've dropped my Pixel 7 pro a half dozen times already in 6 months and no damage. I can't be happier with the protection side of the product. What bothers me is that the clear case is yellowing quite quickly. I don't smoke nor does anyone near me or my family yet the case has discoloured and has that nicotine & tar stain look. I keep my phone either on my desk, in my back jeans pocket, or in my purse (which I generally don't carry). The case gets smooth/slick on the sides after a while so you may drop your phone more. The piece that goes above the charging port broke on mine after a year so I replaced it.

Although the case appears to work great and is very grippy, the case broke as round the charging port maybe two or three weeks after I bought it, and the clear body is now yellow tint. It works, but doesn't look new right away.

Let's face it, finding a great case for the Google Pixel 7 Pro is a daunting task. You cannot find too many malls or large electronic stores that carry Pixel cases. I purchased a white phone and I wanted to show off its sharp appearance -- I didn't want to hide it behind a dark case. I tried two other brands of clear cases -- even "Amazon's Favorite." They all lacked the protection I wanted or they had a tint of yellowing and they were brand new! I compared the actual outside dimensions of the different cases to find the thickest one because I was seeking and willing to pay for the best protection. By far, this OtterBox case is the best available on Amazon.com. It is crystal clear, fits very tight, all the critical cutouts line up perfectly, and all three buttons work as they should. This amazing case feels great in your hand -- not slippery like most clear cases. This is an example of why most people believe OtterBox offers superior products. They are worth the extra money.     • Sturdy, charger flap hard to open.

Great case, sturdy. My main complaint is that the charger port flap is hard to open and insert the cord. It's be easier if the hinge was reversed to open from the screen side with the hinge on the back instead.

I seldom drop a phone, but when I do, there's generally going to be concrete where it hits. So far, this case has kept the screen and case crack-free despite both my fumblefingering and my many cats gravity-test drops to the uncarpeted floors. The only thing I might view as an improvement would be a sl;ightly higher lip around the edge of the screen. Like may recent models of phone, this one extends the touch-sensitive area way too close to the edge in too many directions, making it a challenge to both keep it firmly gripped and not accidentally launch things whose icons are close to the edges.
