Love it. Does the job of keeping my iPhone intact. I read most of the comments before buying and I noticed a lot said that the pop socket won’t hold up your phone so you can watch whatever. Mine does but sometimes falls if the pop socket is fully extended. There’s a little trick where you fully extend the pop socket and then push the top of it so that it’s touching the phone case and the bottom of the circle is still fully extended. I hope that helps some because mine is very sturdy and I can leave it propped up playing YT or whatever for long periods or until my cat pushes it over. I highly recommend Otterbox. I know their cases can be a bit heavy or cumbersome but I feel like I could literally throw this at a brick wall from a speeding vehicle and my phone would be just fine. :) ... show more

    • Toughest case ever
Feels as if these would survive a nuclear attack. They increase thickness of the phone substantially but they are so worth the hassle.

    • Protects X exterior glass case
We used a Commuter case on the previous iPhone 8 case which was also glass and that case broke. So far this Defender is doing its job. The user of this case is a mechanic and works in a difficult evnvironment and uses phone for information pull-up on a regular basis. We are hopeful on this case. Like the non screen protector option. We prefer to use a separate screen protector. This case came with a pop out holder on the back which has surprised us as very useful. ... show more

    • It’s bulky but functional!
I like the look of it (matte finish) plus the pop socket works well (also interchangeable, which is a plus). It’s a really snug fit and kinda hard to install but once it’s on, it’s on! I like how it protects my screen all the way to the edge and I’ve dropped my phone a few times and haven’t noticed any damage to the case but more importantly my screen. Great buy! ... show more

Awesome bang for the buck. I’d purchase two other Chinese knockoff cases to begin with and returned the first one within a week and the second 5 minutes after opening it. The Otterbox was $2 more than the cheap junk and is leaps and bounds better. It fits correctly and is heavy duty. I have same case on my work phone and it is going strong after more than a year of hard abuse. I hope this one is just as good. ... show more

    • A neat idea but an unwise investment.
I have used this since 6/24/2022, today is 10/18/2023. While it does have some nice qualities I will not purchase one again and am going back to an Otterbox with a standard pop socket. Pros: Provides 4/5 star protection. I've dropped it many times with no problems. Low "profile" pop socket. Easier to get in and out of your pocket. Neat and cute. Cons: 2/5 durability for actual pop socket. 1/5 for pop socket adjustability. 1/5 unable to replace pop socket, if it breaks you're stuck with glue. The reason you buy this is because it has the built in pop socket. While it is nice having a lower profile pop socket that fits better into your pocket, it's only slightly lower profile. That's not much of a problem but the pop socket mechanism is just not built to be long lasting, strong or durable. I've had to glue it back together three times now. Secondly, you are unable to adjust the placement of your pop socket at all. While this is not a massive issue, we all have different hand/phone sizes and what might be the perfect placement for one person will be bad for another. This was not a huge problem but worth noting if you do not put your pop socket directly in the middle of your phone. As I previously stated, after using this for longer than a year I will be going back to an Otterbox with a standard pop socket. You will get vastly superior phone protection with the otterbox case and the standard pop sockets are replaceable and seemingly more durable. ... show more
