I’ve been using this OtterBox Symmetry case on my iPhone 16 Pro Max for about 8 months now, and it’s held up great. I’ve dropped my phone a few times (concrete, tile—oops), and not once has the case cracked or let my phone take the hit. Still looks and functions like new. MagSafe works perfectly with my magnetic wallet, and there’s been no interference. Also had no issues pairing it with a glass screen protector—it fits cleanly with no lift or pressure points. Aesthetically, it’s not the sleekest case out there. The cutout for the camera button looks a little odd, but honestly, I don’t think there’s a better way they could have done it without compromising function. For me, the symmetry is perfect for my iPhone 16 Pro Max. I love that it is not extra bulky, as I don’t need the extra bulk, and I don’t want the extra bulk. If I were working on a construction site, and if I were throwing my new iPhone 16 Pro Max around like a football, that would be very different. As far as whether you get one with color, or one which is simply clear, that’s a matter of personal choice. I chose clear after comparing a number of different colors. My first thought was black, as my iPhone 16 is black. But, that almost constituted too much black. Also, because the black is not a glossy black, it seemed to detract from the appearance of my black titanium housing on my 16 Pro Max. For me, the glossy/shiny appearance of the clear enhances the appearance of my iPhone, without making it slippery. Also, I think it’s very cool the way the MagSafe magnets are visible in the back, whereas they are not going to be visible if you get a case other than clear. ... show more
