  • It's great as a pure analog synth and the multi engine is incredible.
If you're playing this thing from a MIDI keyboard that supports velocity and aftertouch you can get some very interactive sounds. It's really for noodling, setting up a patch and playing it is one thing but it really likes to be manipulated as you play, noodling along as the sounds evolve. Of course you can use it to create some fat drums too, it's quite nice in that respect. It begs to be used with a sequencer and workflow where you can record all your keyboard dynamics in real time though. Step programming this thing is OK but you lose all the interactivity. Neat piece of gear and while the knobs can fall off, they're replaceable and their design minimizes the chance for damage to the actual pots which is a design decision that's OK. ... show more

  • Excellent!
I spent a brief time with this excellent-sounding synthesizer. I love the sound quality, the EGs and filter rock, mod options are okay, but ultimately makes me want to reach out for my much more capable Ultranova. The Ultranova lacks that teensy bit of extra sonic depth that the Minilogue has due to its analogue oscillators, but sounds as vibrant and rich in tone, and much "bigger" than the Korg. Both can be a little annoying to fit into a mix, the Ultranova even more so. Onboard effects are passable, but not quite what I was expecting from all the praise I've read about the Minilogue XD. Ultimately, the Minilogue went back for now, though I'd really love to get one again later just for fun. My only gripes are the lack of a mod matrix or patchbay and I wish the post effects were of higher quality, they're not even on par with my Kross2, I think, I forgot to compare, but I'm not too concerned as I have alternatives for effects processing and synths at this price tend to have mediocre onboard effects anyway. The oscillators, filter, and EGs are just great. I kept reading about the Minilogue XD sounding harsh and "brittle" but never noticed such things through any of my monitors. Lastly, but not least, the interface is fine and makes the synth as easy to use as my Ultranova and Neutrons. For anyone considering the Minilogue to fulfill the role of analogue polyphonic synth, don't even hesitate! However, bear in mind that it does have a predisposition towards sounding cold, the right tweaks or post effects will have to warm its sound up if you care for that. I wish Korg would have not shyed away from giving it plenty more mod options like they do on their purely digital keyboard synths like the Kross and Krome. Missed opportunities! ... show more

  • Suena bien y es increíble
Es un excelente sinte de escritorio que suena bien, así de simple. Me gusta que es open source para sonidos, plug ins y filtros. Eso lo hace increíble.
